FiiO RM3 Remote Control
The FiiO RM3 remote control is a customized version designed specifically for FiiO’s R series products. It features a variety of buttons, including power on/off, menu selection, volume control, track selection, and mode selection. The remote control operates using a battery, which can be easily installed by sliding open the battery cover on the back of the remote. The effective distance of the remote control is within 10 meters, allowing for convenient control of your FiiO R series device from a distance. The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirements and can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction.
Product Usage Instructions
Battery Installation
- Slide open the battery cover on the back of the remote control as indicated by the arrow directions.
- Install the battery, paying attention to its polarity.
Pairing
- Hold the power on/off button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes.
- Search for “FiiO RM3” on your FiiO R series device and connect to it.
- If the connection fails after 30 seconds, the FiiO RM3 will enter standby mode with the indicator light turning off.
PRODUCT Button Functions
The FiiO RM3 remote control features a variety of buttons with different functions:
- Power on/off button: turns the device on or off.
- Menu selection/OK buttons: used to navigate menus and select options.
- Return to previous page button: returns to the previous menu screen.
- Volume+ button: increases the device’s volume.
- Return to homepage button: returns to the device’s homepage.
- Volume- button: decreases the device’s volume.
- Indicator light: shows the device’s working status.
- Working mode selection button: selects the device’s working mode.
- Play/Pause button: plays or pauses the current track.
- Add to my favorites button: adds the current track to your favorites list.
- Previous track button: plays the previous track.
- Next track button: plays the next track.
- Mouse mode button: switches to mouse mode for controlling the device using the remote control’s buttons.
Note that some buttons may only be valid for use with FiiO’s R series products, while others may not have any function at all. If you experience any interference while using the remote control, try reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna, increasing separation between the equipment and receiver, connecting the equipment to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer or experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Battery installation instruction
The remote control needs a battery before use. Slide and open the battery cover on the back of the remote control as the arrow direction shown in the pictures. Please pay attention to the polarity of the battery when installing it.
Operating instruction
Pairing: Hold the Power on/off button for about 3s until the indicator light flashes, and the FiiO RM3 can be searched on the host device for connection. If the connection fails after entering the pairing state for over 30s, the FiiO RM3 will enter the standby mode with the indicator light turning off.
Notes
- The effective distance of the remote control is within 10 meters.
- The remote control is a customized version for FiiO’s R series, so some buttons are only valid for them.
- The unmarked parts of the remote control can be regarded as a non-functional or non-native function.
