SAFETY NOTES

Please note the included General Safety Notes and the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury. Please also observe the safety notes in the manuals for battery and charger.

  • Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
  • Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
  • Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
  • Never leave the device unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or persons in need of supervision. Never point the vacuum hose towards persons or animals.
  • Children shall not play with the device. It is not a toy.
  • Keep the device and the rechargeable battery out of reach of children.
  • Keep uninvolved persons out or range of the working zone.
  • This device is not designed for professional continuous operation. The device is exclusively designed for private use.
  • When operating the device wear hearing protection and eye protection.
  • Do not expose the device to rain. Do not operate the device under wet conditions. Do not expose the device to high temperatures, strong vibrations or moisture.
  • Do not operate the device with wet hands.
  •  Check the device before each use for the presence of damaged parts. Do not operate the device if damages exist.
  • Only use original accessory.
  • Do not work with the device in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
  • Only attach the cable hoist to steel pipes with a diameter of 48 mm and a wall thickness of at least 3 mm.
  • Only use the cable hoist with the safety hook attached.
  • Never use the cable hoist with a damaged rope.
  • Always leave at least 2 turns of the cable on the cable drum. Only in this way a mass of up to 200 kg can be lifted safely.
  • The cable hoist may only be used for lifting loads.
  • Always wear a safety helmet, work gloves and protective boots when working with the cable hoist. Tie up long hair. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. There is a risk of injury, e.g. from being wound up.
  • Before each use, visually inspect the hoist and check the brake function.
  • Never use the pull cable as a sling. Avoid diagonal pull. Do not hang the load on the tip of the hook.
  • Do not turn the load when it has been lifted.
  • Do not leave the lifted load unattended.
  • Never use the wire rope hoist to lift people.
  • When attaching the cable hoist, be careful not to be injured by the device itself, by the rope or by the load. Be careful when attaching (fastening) the load and when closing the safety hook. There is a risk of injury
  • Ensure that the cable hoist is checked regularly by competent persons
Additional Battery and Charger Safety Notes

WARNING : Li-Ion batteries, if incorrectly used, stored or charged are a fire, burn and explosion hazard

Use the battery charger correctly

  • Refer to the section of this manual relating to use of the battery charger before attempting to charge the battery.
  • Do not attempt to use the charger with other batteries. Keep the battery charger clean; Foreign objects and dirt can cause a short circuit and block the ventilation holes. Failure to follow these instructions may result in overheating or fire.
  • Allow batteries to cool for 15 minutes after charging or heavy use. Failure to follow these instructions may cause overheating or fire.
  • Use only chargers recommended by the manufacturer to charge the batteries. If a charger is not suitable for a certain kind of battery there is a risk of fire.
  • Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs.
  • Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • The device is designed for operation in altitudes of up to 2000 m above sea level. Keep the battery out of reach of children. When not in use batteries should be stored at room temperature (approx. 20˚ C).
  • Do not open, disassemble, crush, heat above 60° C or incinerate. Do not dispose of in fire or similar.
  • Keep the battery away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the battery. Avoid contact with it. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  • Be careful when using the unit near flammable or easy fusible materials such as plastics or glass. Do not direct the unit for long time at the same place. Never point the running unit to people, animals, plants, flammable objects or liquids.
  • Do not use the unit in explosive atmosphere.
  • Be aware that heat may be conducted to combustible materials that are out of sight.
  • Keep the air slots and the nozzle clean to avoid overheating the unit and to prevent from fire hazard.
  • Use original accessory only.
  • Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.

DISPOSAL
Batteries do not belong in the household garbage. For battery disposal please check with your local council

MAINTENANCE

Checking the brake function
Unpack the cable hoist and check all parts for transport damage. Do not use the cable hoist if it is damaged. Check the brake function by lifting a load over a short distance (approx. 20 – 30 cm) and lowering it again. When you release the on switch, the load must be held in any position and must not trail. Do not use the cable hoist if the brake is not working!

Inspection
Carry out daily inspections by visual inspection of the load hook, the suspension, the steel cable, the hook safety device.

  • The hook and the suspension must not show any deformation or damage.
  • The neck piece of the hooks must be easy to turn/move.
  • The hook safety devices must be easy to open and close and must not show any damage.
  • The rope must not be deformed, damaged or kinked.
  • There must be no rust or dirt on the hauling rope.

Cleaning
Clean the wire rope hoist with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents to clean the cable hoist.
