Blaupunkt WS50WH APP Weather Station
Product Information
The WS50WH APP is a multi-functional weather station that comes with TUYA APP
support. It has indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity sensors, a clock,
a calendar, and several other features.
The weather station also has a high-quality design, and its components are
made of recyclable materials.
Important Notes
It is important to retain the safety and operating instructions for future reference. The weather station should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water or placed in a humid area. Only qualified personnel should service the weather station, and the user should not attempt to remove any screws or open the casing of the unit, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.

The WS50WH APP complies with the stage 2 requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) NO. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regarding standby and off-mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment.

Product Usage Instructions
To use the WS50WH APP weather station:
- Insert batteries into the device or plug in the supplied AC/DC power adaptor to an AC household outlet to get a power source.
- Manage and order the power cord throughout from opened cave.
- Use the setup button to set the date, time, and other settings.
- Use the channel button to switch between different channels.
- Use the backlight/snooze/network button to turn on the backlight, snooze the alarm, or connect to the TUYA APP.
- Use the foldable stand or rope and hook hole to install or hang the weather station.
- Refer to the display and controls to view the current weather, temperature, humidity, and other information.
Note that the batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat or disposed of improperly. The user should also be aware of the local separate collection system for electrical and electronic products and dispose of the product accordingly.

- Operate the product only as instructed in this manual.
- Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected.
- For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.
Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Read Instructions – All the safety and operating instructions must be read before the product is operated.

- Installation – Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Power sources – This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
- Water and moisture – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).
- Object and Liquid Entry – Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.
- Servicing – Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Replacement parts – When replacement parts are required, ensure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.
- The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C.
- ESD hints – If the product maybe reset or not reset to operation of control due to electrostatic discharge, just switch off and reconnect again, or move the product to another location.
- Battery
- a. The batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- b. The batteries should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
- c. Battery usage CAUTION-to prevent battery leakage which may result in body injuries, property damage, or damage to the apparatus:
- Install all batteries correctly, + and – as marked on the apparatus.
- Do not mix batteries (old and new or carbon and alkaline, etc.)
- Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long time.

WARNING

- Do not place this unit in a damp area as the moisture will affect the life of electric components.
- If the system is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates.
- Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.

Power setting
- Plug in the supplied AC/DC power adaptor to an AC household outlet in order to get a power source, plug in the DC connector of the power adaptor to the DC power input jack on the side of rear panel, manage and order the power cord throughout from opened cave. The display will light up, then the unit is ready to work for you.
- Open the battery compartment cover of outdoor wireless transmitter, insert 2 x AA batteries into the compartment according to the correct polarity shown in the compartment. (Batteries are included) We recommend use high quality alkaline for the best product performance. Heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
- The main unit can work with dry battery power only as well. Open up the battery door on the rear panel, and insert 3 x AA batteries (not included) according to engraved negative and positive polarity. Then the unit will light up and be ready to work for you. The battery power also can back up the settings.
Receive signal from the outdoor wireless transmitter
- The main unit can detect and receive the outdoor temperature and humidity wireless signal from the transmitter automatically after the power setting is ready. There will take 3 minutes maximum for signal searching. The signal symbol(nearby outdoor icon) will flash on display during searching and becomes stable after getting the signal. The wireless symbol will be disappeared after 3 minutes if there is no available signal received. And outdoor temperature and humidity data will show “ – – “ on display. In case you need to reconnect the wireless signal, please press and hold the channel button for 3 seconds on side of the main unit. The unit will scan and reconnect the wireless signal one after one.
Placement and important notes:
- Important: The main unit are able to work and connect with 3 outdoor wireless transmitters maximum(only one wireless transmitter included). Open up the battery door of wireless transmitter can see and adjust the channel(include 3 channels). In case you have 2 or 3 wireless transmitters, it requires to set up at different channel between each wireless transmitter for working at same time. Short press the channel button on side panel can check and switch the data from different outdoor wireless transmitter.
- please use and put main unit or transmitter device 1.5~2 meters away from interference source like computer monitors or TV sets. Please also place the main unit stand up far away with metal window frames.
- Please do not use other electronic products such as headphones or speakers operating at the same signal frequency (433.92MHz), which may cause interference. Your neighbors use electronic devices operating on the same signal frequency (433.92MHz) can also cause interference.
- To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place the device in a dry area, free of dirt and dust. Place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents.
- You can install the wireless transmitter outdoor. For better accuracy of using, please place the sensor lengthwise/ standing up 1.5~2 meters at least away from the ground with enough air flowing and protection without rainy. - The maximum working distance of wireless transmitter is 80 meters away from main unit.
- The wireless signal from transmitter will refresh in every 114(channel1)/134(channel2)/158(channel3) seconds in recycle.
Download TUYA APP and configuration
- Important: Before start to download app and pairing the device, Please make sure and set your smart phone connected with 2.4G, or 2.4/5G hybrid Wi-Fi network, and turn on the Bluetooth function on your phone as well. It cannot work and support under 5GHz network.
- TUYA smart APP: Using your smart phone to scan below QR cord and download the“ Tuya smart” APP( depends IOS or Android system) in your device, you also can search the Tuya smart from Apple store or Google play to download the app. Tap and run the app in your device, check and click the agreement of app, register or log-in your account as request.
- Pair and configuration : Power on the main unit, long press 3 seconds the top snooze/backlight/network button(touching button) enter pair mode, and the network symbol will flash on display. Open up and log in to the Tuya smart app on your device, tap “Add device”(Ref. photo A), and searching the device on the app(there may ask for a location accessible, please agree on it), check the discovered device list and tap “Add “button(Ref. photo B), select your home Wi-Fi network name and key-in the password as asked. The weather station will pair with the app and press the “ Done” button (Ref. photo D and E), then the app will start configuration, and transfer local city 5-day weather forecast/UV index/temperature data, etc. to the display of the weather station.
Use the Tuya app to control the weather station
- Alarm/snooze: you can set up 3 alarms from the app as below, the buzz voice will wake up from weather station unit when the alarm time is being. Short press any one button can cancel the alarm voice, but wake up again at same time next day. Short press top snooze/backlight/network button enter to snooze mode, and it will wake up again after 5 minutes. The alarming voice will last for 2 minutes and off automatically in case of no further operation.
- Others: You also can set and get the indoor&outdoor temperature alert/indoor&outdoor temperate&humidity graph curve/temperature ℃(Celsius degree) or ℉(Fahrenheit degree) unit conversation function from app by pressing the relevant button at bottom of home interface. In case of you set and turn on temperature alert function on the app, the unit will alert by buzzing voice, short press the top snooze/backlight/network button to cancel the voice, but the temperature data will keep flash on display till out of setup alert range.
Important notes:
- a. Both the weather station and your smart phone should connect and work under same Wi-Fi network.
- b. In case you take smart phone outside, the weather station can connect and work with your Wi-Fi network alone.
- c. In case changed Wi-Fi network or wi-fi password, you have to repair the weather station with your smart phone. You can delete the device from Tuya app first, then repair and add it from app base on above paragraph introducing of this manual.
- d. In case weather forecast information lost or incomplete on display, please try to open
- Tuya smart app, fresh and reconnect device. e.You can rename the device name by tap below pencil icon on the app.
Other settings
- Week language : short and repeat press the setup button on side panel to switch the week language(7 types)
- Backlight brightness: in AC/DC power adaptor mode, short press the top snooze/backlight/network button to adjust the backlight brightness between high/middle/low levels. In battery power mode, Short press top snooze/backlight/network button can make the display light on and off after 10 seconds.
- Low battery indicator: when the battery symbol shows next the outdoor temperature which means low battery power in outdoor wireless transmitter; when the battery symbol shows next to indoor temperature which means low battery power for main unit if you use battery power. Please replace it with fresh batteries.( This product work with APP, it will check and download data from internet frequently, highly recommend to use the product connect with AC/DC power adaptor.)

- Remarks: LL.L℃ or HH.H℃ will show on display when out of the above range
- Indoor and outdoor humidity range : 1%-99% LL% or HH% will display when out of range
- Temperature accuracy: ±1,0℃ between 0℃~ +50℃/ 32℉~104℉. ±1,5℃ outside this measuring range
- Humidity accuracy: (40-70%) ± 5%, others ±8%

Troubleshooting
Doesn’t display anything.| ² Check if the AC/DC power adaptor
