PRODUCT OVERVIEW

8 Smart Light Bulb:

Light Status

• White Light blinks rapidly for 10 times then turns solid (abouttwice per second)
• White Light blinks slowly for 3 times then turns solid (about once in every 5 seconds)
• L8 Smart Light Bulb is in EZ mode and wait for pairing
• L8 Smart Light Bulb is in AP mode and wait for pairing

Light Switch Operation:

• Switch to EZ/AP pairing mode & Reset device
• Exit pairing mode
• Power cycle ( turn on and off repeatedly) L8 Smart
• Light Bulb for 4 times.
  No operation for 10 minutes

NOTE: If the device fails to get online during the setup process, turn on and off the L8 Light Bulb once and it will enter pairing mode again.

SET UP L8 Light Bulb

Download The LaView APP

1. Download and install LaView APP. LaView APP is available for both i0S and Android OS. Search the name LaView in App Store or Google Play. (The other LaView APPs, such as LaView Connect, LaView ONE, LaView Life do not support L8 Smart Light Bulb)

2. Complete the app registration process.

   Download the LaView APP now by scanning the QR Code below:

3. Connect your phone to a 24 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Install L8 Light Bulb

1. Shut the power off at the power breaker before installation. If you don’t know where your power breaker is or how to turn off the power, consult with a licensed electrician.
2. Screw the light bulb into a A19 light bulb socket.
3. Turn on the power at your pOwer breaker.
4. Turn on L8 Smart Light Bulb, it should be blinking rapidly (about twice per second) for EZ paring mode now.

Connect L8 Light Bulb to LaView APP

TIPS If your are setting up the light bulb for the first time, the LaView APP will send a binding request for setting it up, follow the in-APP instruction to finish the setup process.

Option 1
Connect the L8 Smart Light Bulb with Auto Scan Feature

1. Open the LaView APP. Click on the blue plus icon (on the top right corner in ‘Home) or Add Device
2. Select Auto Scan.
3. The Auto Scan feature will scan your local network for searching devices. You will also need to have a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network selected and Bluetooth enabled.
4. Tap Next and select L8 Smart Light Bulb icon, then follow up the in-APP instructions to finish the setup process.

Option 2
Connect SP3 Smart Plug Manually on EZ Mode

1. Ensure the white light is blinking rapidly ( about twice per second ), if not, power cycle ( turn on and off repeatedly) L8 Smart Light Bulb for 4 times to shift the pairing mode. If the white light stays solid and you are not sure about the pairing mode, please turn off and on the light bulb once and check out the blinking light status. )
2. Select L8 Smart Light’ in ‘Smart Home Essentials.
3. Select a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network and input the Wi-Fi password.
4. Follow up the in-app instructions and finish setup process.

Remotely control your L8 Smart Light Bulb in LaView APP anywhere in the world, at any time of the day.

ALEXA SET UP (Optional)

BERORE YOU START

1. Download and install Amazon Alexa APP on your phone
2. Log in the Alexa APP with your Amazon account
3. Set up your Alexa device
4. Ensure your L8 Smart Light Bulb is powered on and online in the LaView APP

In the Laiew APP, go to the L8 Smart Light Bulb menu, and tap the Edit’ button to enter the setting menu.

Tap the smart plug name to edit it.

Edit the light bulb name to one that is easy to pronounce such as Kitchen Light, Bedroom Light, Baby Room Light’ etc.

Tap the Menu icon and choose Skills & Games in the Alexa APP

Search ‘LaView’ and choose the LaView’skill(Not Laview ONE)

Tap ENABLE TO USE

Log in to your LaView APP account and tap Link Now’

Tap Authorize’

Tap Done’ after the LaView APP is linked to the LaView Skill

Tap DISCOVER DEVICES

Wait until the Alexa APP discovers the L8 Smart Light Bulb. Check the following if Alexa repeatedly fails to discover the smart light bulb.

• Ensure the L8 Smart Light Bulb, the Alexa device and
  your phone are connected in the SAME Wi-Fi network.

• Ensure the L8 Smart Light Bulb is powered on and set
  up in the LaView APP.

• Ensure the Alexa device, such as Echo Show, is set up
  and connected.

• Ensure the L8 Smart Light Bulb is added to the LaView account that is linked to the LaView Skill in the Alexa APP.

You can now tell your voice assistant to remote control the L8 Smart Light Bulb by calling

• Alexa, turn on/off the Kitchen Light.
• Alexa, change the Kitchen Light to red.
• Alexa, change the brightness of Kitchen Light to 50%.
  You can also change and update the smart plug name in the LaView APP smart plug menu. (Refer to Step 3)
