TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Push Notification

What can I do if I cannot receive notifications?

  1. Ensure the motion detection alarm is turned on.
  2. Ensure your phone notification setting is enabled for LaView APP.
  3. Ensure the phone has decent network bandwidth.
  4. Ensure the camera is online.

What can I do if I receive too many notifications?

  1. Ensure the Human Al detection filter is enabled. LaView camera uses the advance 3D Al Humanoid Analysis technology that only send notifications when a human is detected
  2. Objects with human body shape such as stuffed toys may be detected as human and trigger the alerts, remove those if they constantly show up in the camera.
  3. Adjust the sensitivity of PIR function to low level.
Battery

What can I do if the battery of the battery drains too fast?
The battery life of the camera varies based on actual using environment and scenario. It would mainly relate to the recording frequency and the length of each recording clip. Check the chart and the following example for reference.

  1. Cold temperatures affect battery’s capacity because of their chemistry. If you install the camera outside in cold temperatures, you might notice a shorter battery duration for the camera, or a faster than expected drop in the displayed battery capacity.
  2. If the camera is placed at a location with high traffic, we recommend relocating it to a place with less traffic to receive less alerts and extend battery life.
  3. Try positioning the camera closer to the M2 Base Station as it uses more battery power if it is positioned farther away from the M2 Base Station.

Night Vision
The camera is equipped with infrared LED technology to capture black and white night vision image in detail at night However the night vision image quality may be affected by the following factor:

  1. There are high contrast light sources such as car headlight pointing to the camera
  2. The camera is facing reflective surtaces, such as windows and mirrors.

Waterproof and Outdoor Use
The camera is IP66 rated for totally dust tight and protection against low- pressure jets of directed water from any angle. The camera can operate between -4°F -122°F(-20°C-50°C) for all weather use. We recommend placing the camera under the eave and avoid heavy rain or snow to maximize camera life span.
