Description
The Transponder Audio Interface (TAI) module connects all the audio components together and provides supervision for all the transponder modules.
The TAl enables easy interfacing of the transponder audio modules to the “Central Voice system. The on board ZMB socket is supervised for presence as well as for board trouble. The “logic” power for all the audio components is distributed by the TAI through the Amplifier and Telephone daisy chains. Besides field wiring interfacing, the TAI also provides casy connections to the local audio logic. All the terminals are clearly labeled to facilitate engineering and testing.
The tone gains may be adjusted with three onboard potentiometers. A jumper provides a simple means of creating a lamp test for all the connected modules. A form “C” relay and a soft -24VDC output are activated when the common trouble bus is active. The TAl has an onboard placement circuit that activates a lead and trouble when a module is disconnected from one of the daisy chains or the ZMB socket. A DPDT auxiliary relay is available and may be configured as completely independent, positive activation, or negative activation. The Transponder Audio Interface Extender (TAIX) provides an easy extension of the TAI’s wiring to the next cabinet. The TAI and the TAIX require one module space each.
