WARNING!
- Store the bags in a clean and dry airtight container where they will remain sterile and where they’re not exposed to moisture of any kind.
- This product must only be used by an adult. Keep the product out of the reach of children.
- Do not use the product if the packaging or the seal is damaged.
- Single-use only.
- The product is intended for storing breast milk only.
- Do not defrost in microwave, in boiled water or in bottle warmer at more than 37 °C.
- Always check the temperature of the milk before you feed your baby.
Hygiene
- Thoroughly wash your hands before you fill or empty the breast milk storage bag. Avoid touching the inside of the storage bag.
Caution
- The actual amount of milk in the bag may deviate slightly from the level indications on the bag.
- Never refreeze breast milk or add fresh breast milk to already frozen breast milk.
- Once breast milk is brought to room temperature or warmed, use it within 2 hours.
- Do not fill bag past the 200 ml mark, breast milk expands as it freezes.
Filling the breast milk storage bag
- Before use, please write down the date and time of expression and other important information.
- Cut with scissors the safety seal on the upper part of the bag.
- To open the bag, place your thumbs inside the plastic above the zip and gently pull both sides apart.
- Pour the breast milk into the bag being careful not to fill past the maximum capacity mark on the graduated scale.
- Gently remove any excess air manually, starting above the milk level and running your fingers up towards the airtight closure.
- 6. Seal the bag by pressing on the double zipper.
7. For future reference, write down the volume of milk added.
8. Use the milk portions sequentially, follow the rule “first in, first out” (according to the date of expression).
STORING BREAST MILK
The milk can be kept up to 6 hours at room temperature not more than 25°C, 6-8 days in the fridge (not in the door) at temperature not more than 4°C and up to 4 months in the freezer (-18°(). It is recommended to put the milk in the refrigerator or freezer as soon as it is expressed.
Defrosting breast milk
To defrost breast milk overnight, place the breast milk storage bag in the
refrigerator.
To defrost breast milk prior to feeding, place the breast milk storage bag in
warm water or in a bottle warmer at no more than 37°C.
When breast milk is stored in the fridge or freezer, the fat may separate from
the rest of the liquid and form a distinct layer. After the milk has thawed
shake gently, with the bag still sealed, to restore the milk to its original
consistency.
Pouring milk from the breast milk storage bag
Use scissors to cut along the dotted line on the bottom of the bag and pour
the milk into the sterilized feeding bottle without spilling.
Bags are intended for single-use only. They must not be reused and must be
thrown away in compliance with local regulations after being used once.
Note: Unused milk should be thrown away.
