JOOKI WITH SPOTIFY
Use your phone, tablet or computer as a remote control for Spotify. Go to
spotify.com/connect to learn how
A Spotify Premium or Family subscription is recommended to listen on your
Jooki. Visit spotify.com/premium to go Premium.
Connect Jooki to your wifi network.
Open up the Spotify app on your phone, tablet or laptop using the same wifi
network. Play a song and select Devices Available.
Select your Jooki and start listening.
Jooki also works with Spotify Free accounts.

You can upload your own music & story MP3s to Jooki Fire-up the Jooki App for more information.
ACTIVATE JOOKI
First time when unboxing: To activate and power-on Jooki the first time you
unbox it, or when the battery is fully depleted follow the USB charging
procedure below.
POWER ON/OFF & SLEEP MODE
Power on: Press on Heart button (1). Wait 15 sec for the wake-up sound. Jooki
is ready!
Power off: Jooki automatically switches off after 15 min. You can also use the
Jooki App, or press the Heart button 10 sec to power-off.
CHARGING
USB charging: Connect the USB-C charging cable to the USB-C charging port (8).
Use a standard USB charger (not included).
CONNECTING HEADPHONES
Wired headphones: Connect USB-C headphones or use a passive USB-C converter to
plug in headset jack (not included).
WIFI CONTROLS
By default, WiFi is enabled on Jooki. A WiFi connection is required to stream
content from services such as Spotify or to upload your own MP3s. A WiFi
connection is also required for the Jooki app to control Jooki and manage its
content.
Disable WiFi
To disable WiFi, start with Jooki powered off. Turn and hold the Track knob
(2) to Previous track (9), then press the Heart button (1). Continue to hold
the Track knob (2) while Jooki boots-up and until you hear a sound
notification.
Note that while WiFi is turned Off it is not possible to connect with the
Jooki app, and only your MP3 files already on Jooki can be played.
Enable WiFi
To enable, start with Jooki powered off. Turn and hold the Track knob (2) to
Next track (10), then press the Heart button (1). Continue to hold the Track
knob (2) while Jooki boots-up and until you hear a sound notification.
CONTROL TRACKS AND VOLUME
The Track knob (2) can be turned to the left and right and will automatically
return to center. When the Track knob (2) is turned left or right you can go
to the Next (10) or Previous track (9). When the track knob is turned to the
extremes (left or right) and held, the track will Fast forward (12) or Rewind
(11).
The volume knob can be turned left and right to adjust the volume respectively
to be quieter (13) or louder (14). When the volume knob is turned to the right
extreme the volume is at its maximum. When Volume limitation is on (activated
by default) the maximum volume is limited to toy-safe levels for 3+. Volume
limitation can be disabled from the Parental Controls Menu in the Jooki app.

Under no circumstances should Jooki be repaired by anyone other than a
MuuseLabs approved repair center, as this will invalidate the warranty. Please
contact MuuseLabs Customer Support for more information.
Safe usage guidelines for Jooki

Jooki should not be used by children under 3 years.

For children, Jooki should only be used with Kids Safe Audio Level Mode turned on.

Temperature range for use is between 0-40°C.

USB cable & power supply: Jooki must only be connected to the electricity by using a USB cable and charger in good condition.

Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
Maintain a minimum distance of at least 6 inches (15 cm) around the speaker for sufficient ventilation.

Do not block any ventilation openings.
-
Ventilation should not be impeded by covering Jooki with items such as fabric, clothes, plastic bags, etc.

Do not push objects into speaker’s openings.
-
Place speaker in a stable location so it will not fall.
-
No naked (open) flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on or near the speaker.

Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifier) that produce heat.

Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched partic-ularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the speaker.

Only use attachments/accessories specified by MuuseLabs.
-
Unplug the speaker during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
-
The speaker shall be disconnected from the mains by unplugging the power cord of the speaker from the AC mains receptacle.

The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

Do not immerse product in water. Exposure to water could potentially corrode the inner electronics.
WARNING! A wet or contaminated USB-C connector may cause excessive heat or melting and may lead to fire damage or personal injury. Always charge your speaker with a clean, dry USB-C connector. -
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Batteries are only to be replaced by authorized service personnel. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Do not ingest the battery, Chemical Burn Hazard.

Keep new and used batteries away from children.

If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.

If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Do not handle leaking or damaged Lithium batteries.

Risk of leakage. Onl y use the specified type of Batteries. Never mix new and used batteries. Observe correct polarity.

Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
-
Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold.
Maintenance and cleaning
Jooki has been built to be robust and durable so that kids can enjoy it for a long time. However, there are few care advice to be followed:
- Keep Jooki, tokens and characters out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source.
- Do not drop Jooki on a hard surface.
- Do not expose Jooki to moisture or immerse it in water.
- Keep Jooki, tokens and characters clean by wiping them care-fully with a slightly damp cloth.
Establish Safe Listening Volumes
WARNING! Avoid hearing damage. Listening to this product at high volumes or
for extended time periods may cause permanent hearing loss. Protect your
hearing by establishing safe volumes.
- For children, Jooki should only be used with Kids Safe Audio Level Mode turned on.
- Adults can override the Kids Safe Audio Level Mode. This is to be used to their own risks.
- Slowly increase the volume until you can hear it comfortably and clearly without distortion.
- Reduce volume or stop listening if you experience ringing in your ears. Have your hearing checked by a physician.
- Headset volume should also be checked.
Attachments
Using attachments not recommended by Jooki’s user manual may cause hazards.
Use the USB cable provided by manufacturer, or any USB cable in good
condition.
Only use chargers that comply with the Battery Charging v1.1 Specification as
published by USB Implementers Forum and that bears the appropriate
certifications (CE Mark for Europe).

Disposal of waste batteries. If this product contains batteries, do not dispose of them with other household waste. Instead, hand them over to the appropriate collection point for recycling. Disposal of Electrical & Electronic Equipment. This symbol indicates that this product should not be treated as household waste. Instead hand it over to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment which will conserve natural resources.
