Installation
STEP 1:
Using a plastic prying tool (or any prying tool that will not damage the
vehicle), pry up from the bottom of the hood cowl to unclip the mounting
clips. Do this carefully so as to not damage the mounting clips. If installing
on the passenger side, carefully remove the stock FM antenna plastic cover and
then unscrew the FM antenna before proceeding. Once the bottom clips are
unclipped, pull up from the bottom of the hood cowl to unclip the mounting
clips on the top of the cowl. Completey remove the cowl piece from the
vehicle. SEE FIGURE A.
STEP 2:
rench to unbolt the hood hinge bolt nearest the windshield. Be mindful not to move the unbolted hood around. Place your antenna mount in position with the hole on the mount lined up with the hole from the hood hinge bolt. Reinstall the hood hinge bolt securing both the antenna mount and hood hinge in place. Place the cowl piece back in place. Press firmly and ensure all mounting clips are fully seated. SEE FIGURE B.
STEP 3:
Unscrew the NMO nut off of the stud. Then insert the stud for the antenna NMO through the hole in the mount and reinstall the nut using a Small Crescent Wrench. This nut requires very little torque. Do not over-
tighten! Thread antenna on to antenna mount. SEE FIGURE C.
