Westfalia 894219 LED Universal Magnifier
Dear Customers,

SAFETY NOTES
- Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
- Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
- The unit does not belong into the hands of children. Keep it out of reach of children and persons in need of supervision. Do not leave it lying around and make sure it cannot become a toy.
- Do not stare directly into the LED and do not direct the light beam towards people or animals.
- Do not use devices, which can strongly focus light for viewing the light beam.
- Do not use the magnifying glass to stare into bright light sources or into the sun. This can lead to eye injury.
- Be aware that the magnifier can act as a burning glass if it is placed in the sunlight next to a window. Cover the lens to make sure it cannot be focused on any surface, which may be incinerated by the focused sunlight.
- Do not expose the unit to humidity, excessive temperatures or strong vibrations and avoid strong mechanical stresses. Never immerse the unit into liquids of any kind.
- Do not use the magnifier lamp if any components have been damaged.
- Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. In case of questions or problems, turn to our customer support.
- If you do not plan to use the unit for some time, remove the batteries.
- Do not disassemble, burn, or short-circuit batteries and do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not mix rechargeable batteries and non-rechargeable batteries and use only batteries of the same type.
- Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.
- Batteries do not belong in the household garbage. For battery disposal please check with your local council.
OPERATION
Before first Use
Remove the lighted magnifier and check all parts for any damage in transit. Dispose of any non-reusable packaging material properly or store it in a safe location out of reach of children.
Inserting the Batteries
- Open the battery compartment and insert 2 fresh batteries of the type LR6 (AA). Observe correct polarity. The polarity symbols are shown inside the battery compartment.
- Close the battery compartment.
- To switch on the lighted magnifier, push the ON/OFF switch.
- To switch off the LED, push the switch once more.
Remove the batteries if you do not use the lighted magnifier for long time.
Cleaning
- Do not wipe the magnifier with sharp detergents or aggressive chemicals in order not to damage the surfaces. To remove dirt or fingerprints, clean with a soft cotton cloth. Do not use scraping cloths to avoid scratching the lens.
- Wipe the housing with a dry cloth only.
- Store the lighted magnifier in a dry place, protect the unit from dust and dirt and keep it out of reach of children.
