Instruction Manual
Thank you for purchasing our water pump. Please read through User Manual before using the pump.
Safety Instructions
- All electrical sockets must be earthed.
- No power cord should be used for transporting or fixing the equipment.
- Don’t pull the power cord on sharp edges and don’t press the power cord.
- The power supply voltage must be the same as the voltage given on the model board.
- To avoid hazards, all installation and replacement of components can only be carried out by authorized customer service personnel.
- Electrical connections can only be performed by electrical professionals, and please comply with state regulations.
- The pump must be connected with a current type leakage current breaker protection device and overload or over-current protection device.
- Check the connection of the plug before running. If the wire is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the agent or the relevant technical personnel to avoid any danger.
- Children are not allowed to use this device. Please keep children in a safe distance. .
- Do not use pumps when there is someone in the water.
- When cleaning and maintaining, please disconnect the water pump from the main power supply.
- Please contact technical staff when confronting any malfunctions.
- Connectors for power plugs and extension cables must be made sure that they are waterproof and must not be placed in the water. Furthermore, connectors cannot be placed on the ground. It is recommended to ensure that the outlet is at least 60 mm from the ground.
- Running the electric pump without water is strictly prohibited.
- Never touch the water near the pump when it is running.
- To prevent electric shock, turn off the power before maintaining and cleaning the electric pump.
- Never attempt to repair a damaged power cord or plug. Replace the damage power cord or plug with a new genuine spare part.
WARNING! Failure to follow the safety Instruction and precautions may cause electrical hazards and severe injury or even death.
Operating Instructions/Installation
Requirements prior to use
- Water temperature should be no higher than +35°C.
- The maximum submersing depth should not exceed 20m.
- The PH of water should be in 6.5-8.5.
- Sediment concentration should not exceed 0.15%.
Installation and precautions
-
Submersible pump must be used within the range of the recommended head, so as to prevent damage on the motor due to overloaded operation. To select the pump head, user should consider pipeline and bend loss.
-
After unpacking, fully check if there is any damage on the pump during transportation and storage, for example, if the cables, plugs are intact, if the joints are tight without seeping or oil leakage. Promptly ask professionals to repair or replace the damaged parts, if any.
-
Before using the pump, fully check its insulation resistance, and the cold insulation resistance should be no less than 100 MO.
-
Prior to purchasing and installation of the pump, check if the inner diameter of the well matches the minimum diameter of the well pump. For a new well, remove debris and dirt with an air compressor or an old well pump, then check if the water quality and temperature matches the conditions for well pump. Install the well pump only when the water in well reaches the standard of pump for use.
-
To install the electric pump in pond, hoist it with a tripod or assisted by boat, bridge or wharf, do not place it directly at the river bottom, otherwise the motor may gradually get stuck in the mud to cause blockage, get too high temperature, and burn out the motor.
-
The submersing depth of electric pump is appropriately as 0.5-5m below the dynamic water level, if too shallow, the pumping quality be poor due to reduced water level, even cause motor failure due to running without water.
-
The electric pump must be used at an appropriateness. If the power supply is far from the place where the electric pump is used, the extended cables should be appropriately thickened according to the distance, the connectors should be sealed and bound with waterproof insulation tape, so as to make sure it insulated and off the ground. If necessary, ask a professional electrician to test if the operating voltage of the pump is within ±10% of the rated voltage, so as to avoid under-voltage operation because the cable is too long and the voltage drop is too great, which may cause burnout.
-
Before diving the pump into the water, turn on the power for test run, but it should not exceed 3s. The cable of the single-phase pump should be strictly as per the wiring diagram as indicated on the motor or the control box, and should be wired by the corresponding colours. Incorrect wiring will cause the pump to work abnormally and may damage he motor; the three-phase pump can be wired despite the colours, when the pump rotates in the reversed direction(-from the end of motor shaft, the correct direction is indicated if the motor rotates counter-clockwise), just change the connection of any two lines.
Warning! Electrical connections can only be performed by electrical professionals, and please comply with state regulations. -
The electric pump should separately use appropriate protection switch, in case of frequent tripping of the switch, never force start it, check if the electric pump is failed, otherwise the motor may be easily burnt out.
-
To dive or lift the pump out of the water, user must hold the hoist ring or handle with steel wire rope, never pull the cable at random. When operating the motor, it is preferably to keep the cable off the ground, so as to avoid crushing it when the heavy object passes on the ground, which may cause an accident.
-
When using the electric pump, nylon rope must be used to withstand the weight of the pump, must not use water pipes to prevent the pump drop phenomenon. if float switch or liquid level detector and other protective measures are not provided, the pump should be tended by a specific person,so as to avoid it from running with-out water due to reduced water level. In case of abrupt reduction of water, abnormal sound, or violent vibration, immediately turn off the power, and stop using it until the the cause is identified.
Warning! Electrical connections can only be performed by electrical professionals, and please comply with state regulations.

Additional safety instructions
In any of the following circumstances, stop the pump immediately and restart it only until the environmental conditions are improved or the problems are solved:
- If the working current of the pump unexpectedly exceeds the rated current of the motor.
- If the pumping amount is abnormal, water is intermittently pumped with increased sediment concentration.
- If the insulation resistance of the motor is less than 0.5 MO.
- If the unit has obvious noise with intensified vibration.
- If the grid voltage is seriously inadequate and the protection mechanism of the motor is frequently started.
- If one phase of the fuse is burnt out.
- If the water pipeline is damaged.
Maintenance and service
Before repairing and servicing, make sure that the pump is flushed with clean
water, after disassembling the pump, flush the over-current parts with water.
– The normal operation of the pump should be checked at least once a year. If
the liquid pumped is turbid or the sediment concentration is large, shorten
the time intervals of checking the pump.
– The following points should be checked:
- Energy consumption: If there is anomaly, check if the circuit is significantly increased.
- Oil condition: If the oil contains water, it will be as grey as milk, there may be a leakage of mechanical seal.
- Cable: Make sure that the cable is still sealed without obvious bending or shrinking.
- Over-current components of the pump: Check if the impeller or pump housing is worn.
- Bearing: Check if the bearing is damaged or its rotation becomes inflexible.
Troubleshooting
Make sure that the power is turned off before uncovering the junction box of the motor and disassembling the pump.
