INITIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE TO ENSURE SAFETY, AS THEY MAY NOT ALL BE OBVIOUS.

• Any use of this product or its accessories in any manner not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injury to persons or damage to the appliance.
• This product has no user-serviceable parts except for the fuse. Other than the instructions provided in this manual, do not attempt to examine or repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform any servicing.
• Do not allow a child to use this appli-ance. Keep the appliance out of children’s reach at all times. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with this appliance.
• Keep any parts or packaging materials well away from children. These are a potential source of suffocation or other danger.
• Always operate the appliance on a dry, flat, stable surface.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities that may lead to improper use or injury from operating the appliance.
• Discontinue any operation of the appliance if any of its parts malfunction or are damaged in any manner. Take the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• Do not use the appliance if it has been submerged or placed under running water.
• Do not leave the product unattended while in use. Unplug the product from the electrical outlet when not in use.
• Before the appliance is used, check the unit (including the power cord) and all parts for any faults or defects. Do not operate the fan if the motor, housing, cable, or any other parts appear to be damaged.
• Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive or flammable fumes.
• Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking, or other heating appliance.
• Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
• This fan must be mounted before it is used. See instructions later in this guide.

OTHER ELECTRICAL SAFETY

WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury:

• Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
• Unplug fan before cleaning or servicing.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock and injury to persons, do not use this product in a window.

This appliance has a polarized plug, meaning that one blade on the plug is wider than the other. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuits situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet and follow the fuse replacement steps later in this guide. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-cir-cuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

• Completely assemble the product for use before plugging it into an outlet.
• Make sure the power cord does not touch any hot surfaces.
• Extension cords are not recommended for use with this appliance.
• Do not plug or unplug the product into/from the electrical outlet with wet hands.
• Discontinue any operation of the appli-ance if the cord or plug are damaged.
• To disconnect the fan from an electri-cal outlet, ensure the product is turned off and then pull directly on the plug; do not pull on the Power Cord.
• Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product, as this is likely to cause a malfunction or safety hazard.
• Always ensure the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet and that all parts have stopped before assembling, disassembling, relocating, or cleaning it.
• Do not route the cord underneath any carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or other appliances. Arrange the cord so it is away from areas where it could be tripped over.
• For batteries used with the remote:
  • Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

ASSEMBLING THE FAN

1. If you want to use this fan as a “standing fan” with the base, insert the Base Shaft (K) into the Round Base (L). Skip this step if you are mounting it or using it as a desk fan.
2. Loosen the height Adjustment nut (J), and pull out the Extendable Shaft (I) from the upper base (K) shaft. Fast the screw ring connecting the motor (E) to the extendable shaft (I) Then, use the screw to fasten the motor
3. Put the Rear Grill (D) on the motor and fasten it with the four screws (C).
4. Push the blade (B) onto the motor shaft, using the screws to fasten it.
5. Place the front grill (A) onto the rear grill (D) and secure the tip lace using the grill retaining clips. Using the screw and nut (S), screw on the nut to secure the grills together.

ASSEMBLING THE FAN AS A DESK FAN

Assemble the desk stand as shown in the diagrams below

1. Connect the middle tube with the right and left curved tubes. Secure with the screw, then use four screws to fasten the rubber end (R) on the pipe base.
2. Use the screw and nut to attach the motor to the curved tube and base.

ASSEMBLING THE FAN AS A WALL FAN

1. Assemble the desk fan as described above
2. Use screws (M) to attach the two hooks (O) to the wall where you want to posi-tion the fan
3. Hang the fan base on the hooks

OPERATING THE FAN

Ensure the fan is plugged in, then switch on the fan by selecting one of the three speeds (1 -3). ‘3’ is the fastest speed. ‘0’ switches the fan off. To oscillate the fan, push down on the oscillation knob (F) located on top of the motor (E). Pull the knob back up to stop the oscillation. To adjust the fan height, loosen the height adjustment nut (J), extend the shaft to the desired height, then re-tighten.

CARE, CLEANING, AND MAINTENANCE

• Be sure the fan control is in the “0” or “OFF” and the fan is unplugged before cleaning.
• Use only a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. A can of compressed air or a vacuum cleaner can be used to clean the inside of the motor.
• Do not immerse the unit in water or allow water to come in contact with the motor housing.
• Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.

REPLACING THE FUSE

Before replacing the fuse, turn the fan off. Grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet device. Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the cord. With the fan unplugged, follow the steps in this diagram:

• A Open the fuse cover by sliding the access cover on top of the attachment plug toward the plug blades.
• B Remove the fuse carefully by gently pulling out the ends of the fuse from the receptacle. Replace the fuse with a fuse only of the same amps and volts.
• C Install the replacement fuse by first placing the end of the fuse into the fuse receptacle, which is opposite the blades of the plug, then carefully push in the other end. Only push against the metal end of the fuse, not the glass portion.
• D Close the fuse cover by sliding the cover back into the plug until it latches in place. Ensure it is completely closed.

Risk of fire: Replace the fuse with a fuse only of the same amps and volts.
Do not replace the plug that comes with your fan. It contains a safety device (the fuse) that should not be removed. Do not use this product if the plug is damaged.

TIPS AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

The product should be packaged in its original box for storage. Place the fan in a storage room with low humidity.

If the fan is not running properly:
If your fan is plugged into a known, working outlet and the fuse is not the problem, you may need to return the product or have it serviced. Please return the fan to the place of the original purchase or see your warranty. Do not attempt to open the motor housing yourself; doing so may void your warranty and cause damage to the fan or personal injury.

SIX-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY

SIX-MONTH LIMITED WARRANTY {36590}

Impecca® warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship to the original purchaser as specified below. Please register your product online within fourteen (14) days of purchase.

• PARTS – if the product is determined to have a manufacturing defect, within a period of six (6) months from the date of the original purchase, Impecca® will repair or replace the product parts at no charge (for parts) to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
• LABOR – if the product is determined to have a manufacturing defect, within a period of thirty (30) Days from the date of the original purchase, Impecca® will repair or replace the product at no charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada. After thirty (30) Days, it will be the responsibility of the consumer.

Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center are the sole responsibility of the consumer. To obtain warranty service from an authorized Impecca® service center, please email us at: [email protected] to obtain a Repair and Maintenance Authorization (RMA) number and to locate the Warranty Service Center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail the product to the authorized Impecca® service center in its original product packaging materials or equivalent, to prevent damage while in transit.

Further, should Impecca® determine that the product is outside of the Warranty terms, Impecca® will return the product to the sender at the sender’s expense without being repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the consumer to service the out-of-warranty product at the consumer’s expense. All handling or restocking charges for returns and/or replacements shall be non-refundable. Impecca® specifically excludes from this warranty any non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories, and disposable parts including, but not limited to, outside case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC adapters. Impecca® reserves the right to repair or replace defective products with the same, equivalent, or newer models.

We reserve the right to either repair or replace the product at our discretion. The replacement may be either new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be made to ensure it is the same model if the same model is not available, it will be replaced with a model of equal or higher specification. Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any other, warranty. Further, Impecca® hereby reserves the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products. Tampering or opening the product casing or shell will void this warranty in its entirety.

In addition, this warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or misapplication; has been altered or modified without the written permission of Impecca®; has been serviced by a non- authorized repair center of Impecca®; has not been properly maintained or operated according to the operation manual; has been used for commercial, non- household purposes; has been cosmetically damaged; was not imported by Impecca®; was not manufactured according to the specification of the United States market; was damaged due to improper installation or neglect by the consumer; was damaged due to improper packaging in shipment to the Warranty Service Center; was damaged due to natural disasters; or if the serial number for the product has been removed or defaced.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO SIX (6) MONTHS PARTS AND THIRTY (30) DAYS LABOR FROM THE DATE OF THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT.

THESE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE AND USE OF THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER WARRANTIES, ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ARE GIVEN.

No Impecca® dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, change, or amendment to this warranty without written consent and authorization from Impecca®. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or liability for incidental or consequential damages or do not allow a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.
