INSTRUCTIONS
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
Here at Playlearn, we have spent many years developing our Bubble Walls and
Bubble Tubes to ensure they are simple to set up and trouble-free, so you can
spend more time enjoying it and less time setting it up. We want you to love
your Bubble Tube, so please let us know if any questions come up. Please email
us at support@playlearn.com and we will get back to
you within 48 hours. The Bubble Tube is a delicate product and must be looked
after and maintained to get optimal use. Any time maintenance is required (and
certainly for emptying the water!), we recommend that two people do this
together.
WATER
the simple joys in life
DISTILLED WATER / REGULAR WATER
Although this product has been designed to work well with tap water, the
product will need higher maintenance due to algae and the water becoming
cloudy. The water will need changing approximately once every few months. By
using distilled water, the water and product will stay clean for longer.
BRING A FRIEND ALONG
We recommend setting up with two people
1 Inspect the Bubble Tube to make sure that there are no cracks or damage. Take extreme caution when handling, as the Bubble Tube is a fragile product.
2 Inspect the base to check that the wires in the base appear to be connected.
3 Take the three screws off the back panel of the silver base. Store the three screws safely. Be careful with the exposed hole, as the stainless steel can have sharp edges.
4 Slide the tube into base. The part with the pump and controller is the bottom and the side with the silver cap is the top. When placing the tube into the base, face the opening at the bottom towards the open panel at the back, to have easy access for the next steps.
5 Feed the adapter through the corner hole of the base (not the panel you unscrewed).
6 Plug the adapter into the power port on controller box.
7 Place the Bubble Tube in the location you will want it to stand, as it will be too heavy to move later.
8 Add water until Bubble Tube is about 10% full.
9 Test the product with the remote control (#7) or the app. Check that the product is working properly. It is working properly if the lights turn on and the pump is creating air bubbles.
10 Close the cover of the back panel.
11 Fill until about 2 inches from the top.
12 Wash fish and balls with dish washing liquid in warm water and rinse off in cold water, making sure all soap is removed.
13 Place fish in the Bubble Tube and place the silver cap on top.
14 Remember that it can take up to 24 hours for fish to fully swim.
15 Place the customer support sticker on your Bubble Tube in case you need to reach out to us at any time.
EMPTYING WATER FOR MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
We have provided a maintenance hose to aid in emptying your Playlearn Bubble
Tube. Attach the water pipe to the nozzle closer to the handle on the manual
pump and place the other end of the pipe deep into the panel. Place a large
bucket on the floor (or at a lower point than the end of the pipe) and start
pumping until the water starts flowing.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
CRACKED PANEL If your Bubble Tube is cracked, please contact customer support immediately.
NO BUBBLES COMING OUT If the pump is not making noise and the lights are not working, please check that you have completed the set up instructions. If the connection is correct, but the pump still isn’t making noise, please contact customer support.
SOME JETS ARE WORKING, SOME ARE NOT On occasion, some of the air jets break in faster than the others. Since some are fully “broken into”, the water is bypassing the jets that have not yet “broken in”. If this occurs, follow these steps. Under each air jet, at the bottom of the tube, is a small dial that can be adjusted. Ensure that the dial under the non-working jets are open, by loosening them. Then, close the dials under the jets that are currently working by tightening them. This should stop around 90% of the bubbles. By doing this, pressure will be forced into the open jets, forcing the air bubbles to break through them. Please keep it like this for a few hours, to allow the jets to be fully “broken into”. After a few hours, you can adjust all the dials back to a regular, even setting.
REMOTE CONTROL NOT FUNCTIONING The remote control is designed to change the colors of the lights and to change the light pattern. If the lights are on but they are not changing with the click of the remote control, try going a little closer to the base of the Bubble Tube. The red LED light turning on doesn’t mean there is a good battery. If it still does not work, please change the battery. If this fails to fix the problem, contact customer support for a replacement.
NO POWER First, touch the adaptor and see if it feels warm. If it is cold, contact customer support for a new adaptor. If the adaptor is warm, check the connection into the controller box (instruction #5) by removing and reinserting it and press the “on” button on the remote control. Check that the white wires coming out of the controller box are firmly connected to the plug and lights. If this still does not resolve the problem, please contact customer support.
CAUTION Always unplug the power before cleaning and handling. Disconnect and drain the water if storing away for an extended period of time. Do not operate with hot or ice-cold water. Do not lift, carry or pull the Bubble Tube by the power cord. Do not exceed the maximum voltage and wattage on adaptor.
STILL STUCK? Confused? Any further questions? Please contact customer support and one of our reps or techs would be happy to walk you through it.
