PREPARING THE DOOR
- Mark and centerpunch the exit device mounting plate holes according to the exit device instructions.
- Drill pilot holes at centerpunched locations. CAUTION: Be sure to drill STRAIGHT through the door.
- For METAL doors: DEVICE SIDE: drill a 5/16″ hole
TRIM SIDE: drill 1/2″ hole
For WOOD doors: drill a 1/2″ hole through a door
ASSEMBLE THE OUTSIDE TRIM AND BACKPLATE AS SHOWN BELOW.
Resume the exit
device instructions.
