Description of the IP Camera

WARNING

The cords on this product are a potential strangulation hazard. For safety of the children, please keep these cords out of their reach.

Setting Up Your Camera

It is recommended to connect the camera using the Ethernet cable via the Foscam app. Scan the QR code below to download and install the Foscam app, or search for “Foscam” in your phone’s App Store or Google Play.

To ensure a smoother video experience on your smartphone, it is recommended that your smart phone is running either iOS 8.1 and higher or Android 4.1 and higher (using a device with graphics processing).

Note: For the best experience, please update the app to the latest version regularly.

1. Tighten the antenna clockwise and make sure it is in a vertical position.
2. Connect the camera to your router using an Ethernet cable.
3. Plug the power adapter into the camera, and then wait for about one minute.
4. Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera.
   • Tip: The camera supports dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks, so you can choose the channel with the stronger signal to use.
5. Open the Foscam app and create a Foscam account or sign in if you have one already.
6. Follow the steps below. If the adding process fails, please reset your camera and try adding it again.

Wi-Fi Configuration

If you selected “Skip” in step number 9, click “Play” to enter the camera credentials interface, tap the Settings button, tap “Wi-Fi settings”, select your Wi-Fi network and enter your Wi-Fi’s password. After setting up successfully, you can view live video without the Ethernet cable.

Access Your Camera Using PC

To access the video from your camera on your PC, use Foscam VMS. Foscam VMS is a new tool for PCs. It does not require plug-ins and is compatible with both Windows and Mac, supporting all Foscam HD cameras and up to 36 cameras at the same time. If you would like to manage multiple cameras, we suggest you install Foscam VMS. You can download the Foscam VMS Windows version from www.foscam.com/vms, and Mac version from the App Store.

Note: For the best experience, please update Foscam VMS to the latest version regularly.

To add an IP camera to Foscam VMS, follow these steps

1. Run Foscam VMS, then create a local administrator account and login.
2. Tap the “+” icon on the Foscam VMS and follow the setup wizard to add your camera.

Hardware Installation

• Point the camera at the desired location and use the screws provided to mount it.

Note: Ensure that rain or water will not reach the connector ports at the end of the pig tail wiring. These connectors are not weather-resistant.

Important Notice

Camera Username and Password

The camera username and password are used to access and manage your camera. Having a strong password can significantly improve the security of your camera. If you have forgotten either of them, please press the “Reset” button for about 5 seconds.

Storage Media

Your camera supports cloud, NVR (Network Video Recorder) and Micro SD card (supports FAT32 and exFAT formats, up to 128 GB).

Safety Tips

• Do not use this IP camera in either too hot or too cold environments.
• Keep the IP camera away from fire.
• Keep the IP camera away from children. This device is not a toy.
• Use the correct power supply.
• Keep the product dry.
• When manipulating with the IP camera, keep in mind it is an electric product and therefore poses a risk of electrocution.
• Use the supplied screw pack.

Troubleshooting

The IP camera is not powering on

If you find your camera is not powering on, try these steps

• Check whether the outlet is working properly. Try to plug the camera into a different outlet and see whether it will work.
• Check whether the DC adapter is working or not. If you have another 12V/1A power adapter which is working, please try the other power adapter and see whether it will work.
• If it still doesn’t work, please contact the Foscam support.

How to re-configure the Wi-Fi connection for Foscam cameras after the router is changed?

• Connect the camera to your router with an Ethernet cable. If you can see the camera live video on the Foscam app, please go to camera settings -> Wi-Fi settings to choose the new Wi-Fi. After the Wi-Fi settings is completed, please disconnect the Ethernet cable from the camera and wait for some seconds to connect to the camera.
• There is a need to reset the camera first. After that, open the Foscam app to scan the QR code of your camera to set up the wireless connection for the camera. Please make sure your cell phone is connected to the new Wi-Fi.

Warranty Conditions

A new product purchased in the Alza.cz sales network is guaranteed for 2 years. If you need repair or other services during the warranty period, contact the product seller directly, you must provide the original proof of purchase with the date of purchase. The following are considered to be a conflict with the warranty conditions, for which the claimed claim may not be recognized

• Using the product for any purpose other than that for which the product is intended or failing to follow the instructions for maintenance, operation, and service of the product.
• Damage to the product by a natural disaster, the intervention of an unauthorized person or mechanically through the fault of the buyer (e.g., during transport, cleaning by inappropriate means, etc.).
• Natural wear and aging of consumables or components during use (such as batteries, etc.).
• Exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields, fluid intrusion, object intrusion, mains overvoltage, electrostatic discharge voltage (including lightning), faulty supply or input voltage and inappropriate polarity of this voltage, chemical processes such as used power supplies, etc.
• If anyone has made modifications, modifications, alterations to the design or adaptations to change or extend the functions of the product compared to the purchased design or use of non-original components.
