Installation

Note: While both the Transmitter (local) and Receiver (remote) feature a 5V DC Power Port, the Transmitter is powered by the Host Computer (local) and an additional local power source is not required. The included Universal Power Adapter is intended for the Receiver (remote).

Transmitter (Local)
  • Connect the USB-B Host Port located on the Transmitter to a USB-A Port on the Host Computer, using the included 2 ft (61 cm) USB-A to USB-B Host Cable.
  • Connect an RJ-45 Terminated Cat5e/Cat6 Cable (up to 490 ft. / 150 m) to the RJ-45 Output Port, located on the Transmitter.
    Note: The cable should not go through any networking equipment (e.g. router, switch, etc.).
    The Ethernet cable must follow the EIA/TIA-568-A or B Standard.
Receiver (Remote)
  • Connect the USB Peripheral Device to the USB-A Peripheral Port located on the Receiver.
  • Connect the other side of the RJ-45 terminated Cat5e/Cat6 Cable (connected to the Transmitter in Step 2) to the RJ-45 Input Port, located on the Receiver.
  • Connect the included Universal Power Adapter from an AC Electrical Outlet to the 5V DC Power Port located on the Receiver.
  • The Host Computer (local) will recognize the connected device as USB Peripheral Device (remote).
