Yes, however, I wouldn’t use it next to the driver at night because the lights in a darker interior impair night vision.
Is the remote radio frequency or infrared?
Although I can’t assure it, infrared remotes are normally used with ALL of these little gadgets. It most likely is. I think this one LOOKS and ACTS like a standard infrared remote control, but I’m not positive.
When shut off, will they retain the colour selection? so that when they are switched back on, they will display the same colour?
Yes, they do remember the colour, and when shut off, they will turn on with the last color and brightness you choose. On my TVs, there are three of these. I would just advise against using the USB port on your TV. To get optimal brightness, power your LED light strip using a USB block that is directly hooked into an outlet. When I increased the LED brightness on one of my TVs, the USB port would switch off. It ran smoothly when connected to a different socket. extremely good value and product for the money.
Does the Google Play Store have an app for these RGB strips? Which app, if any, is it?
It does, and it works fantastically! It is known as “Lotus Lantern.”
How long is the USB power cord?
It is shorter than the ones that come with a wall adapter, being only around 2 feet long. I bought an AC outlet converter to USB plug since I wanted to power this off a wall plug, and it works just fine. I own many various models of these lights, and when I purchased this one, I assume I wasn’t aware that it just had a USB connector. It’s brighter than I anticipated, the warm white is terrific, and the colors are all wonderful.
Why does the light remain on even after turning the TV off? Even after being manually turned off, lights occasionally come on overnight. Is anyone else having this problem?
Yes. They should be unplugged from the USB port. The remote costs little. Other remote controls also control the lights and will do so.
Is this the one that alternates between two colors?
No. When it employs many colors, they are ALL used in ONE color at a time, fading or flashing from one to the other in ALL modes of fade, flash, smooth, and music actuated. Never use more than two colors at once. Only ONE color can be present at a time, whether it is fully or partially illuminated.
