Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. Failure to follow the dangers, warnings and cautions contained in this owners manual may result in a fre or explosion causing damage to property, serious bodily injury or death.
WARNING

  • The installation of this unit must adhere to local codes or Propane Storage and Handling Code, CSA B149.2.

  • THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY! This product shall be used outdoors, in a ventilated space and shall not be used in any enclosed area.

  • This unit is to be used with propane gas only! (sold separately)

  • Do not attach a remote gas supply to this unit.

  • Only use propane gas for this unit.

  • Solid fuels shall not be burned in this appliance.

  • When igniting this unit, stay away from the burner as the flame will light up and may cause injury.

  • If the propane gas tank is leaking gas, you may hear, see, or smell a hiss. Do the following:
    1. Disconnect the propane gas tank.
    2. Do not attempt to fix the problem yourself.
    3. Contact your gas supplier or fire department for help.

  • Do not use a flame to check for gas leaks.

  • Discontinue use if any part of the propane tank is damaged. Rust and dents may be hazardous and should be inspected by a gas supplier.

  • Do not burn anything other than the provided materials for this fire table.

  • Always ensure that fire glass are completely dry before use. Failure to do so will cause them to crack or pop.

  • Do not operate unit until all parts are fully assembled.

  • Do not paint or color any part of this heating unit.

  • Unit may be hot while in use, do not attempt to move it while in use.

  • Never leave this heating unit unattended while in use.

  • This unit is not intended for cooking.

  • Keep any flammable items away and do not use any other fireplace cover for this unit.

  • Keep a safe distance to avoid burning skin or clothing.

  • Do not sit or rest hands or feet on this heating unit.

  • Never place hands or fingers on upper portion of this unit while in use.

  • Keep all electrical cords and fuel supply hose away from heated surfaces.

  • Cover must be removed when burner is in operation.

  • Children and adults should be alerted to the hazards of high surface temperatures and should stay away to avoid burns or clothing ignition.

  • Young children should be carefully supervised when they are in the area of the appliance.

  • Clothing or other flammable materials should not be hung from the appliance or placed on or near the appliance.

  • Any guard or other protective device removed for servicing the appliance shall be replaced prior to operating the appliance.

  • Installation and repair should be done by a qualified service person. the appliance should be inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified service person. More frequent cleaning may be required as necessary. It is imperative that the control compartment, burners and circulating airways of the appliance are kept clean.
    • Keep the appliance area clear and free from combustible material, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.

  • Do not add water into the unit.

  • Do not operate unit if any part has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the appliance and replace any part of the control system and any gas control that has been under water.

  • Do not disconnect any part while unit is in use.

  • Do not store a spare propane tank on or near this unit.

  • If the heating unit is indoors, detach the propane tank and leave outdoors.

  • Do not operate on a boat or vehicle. This unit must be used on a flat surface outdoors ONLY.

  • Always remove protective cover before operating (if applicable).

  • Do not set the protective cover over the unit until it is turned off and completely cooled down.

  • Check for leaks after not using the unit for long periods of time.

  • Children should never operate this unit. Children must be supervised while near this unit.

  • All installation and repair should be done by a qualified professional. this unit should be inspected annually and cleaned regularly.

  • Inspect all elements of this heating unit before each use. If there is damage, the burner must be replaced.

  • Be aware of the hazards of high temperatures and stay away from the unit to avoid any burns or injury.

WARNING

  • The gas supply tank should be constructed and marked with the specifications for the LP gas tanks of the U.S. Department of Transportation or the National Standard of Canada CAN/CSA-B339, LP gas tanks, spheres and tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods; and Commission.

Only use the regulator and hose assembly provided with this unit. Replacement parts must be supplied directly by the manufacturer.
Inspect the burner before use of this unit. If the burner shows any kind of damage, do not operate the appliance. For assistance with repair or replacement of the burner or any other parts, call our customer department.
NOTE: You must follow all steps to properly assemble this heating item. Make sure the gas valve is turned “OFF” before assembling. Do NOT attempt to assemble without proper tools.
NOTE: Combustible materials should not be within 60 inches of the top of the unit, or within 48 inches around the entire unit.
NOTE: This appliance is designed for use with a 16.40Z (1Lb) propane gas cylinder (disposable). The cylinders of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) or the National Standards of Canada, CAN/CSA-B339, cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods;and Commission,as applicable.

PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 5 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips Screwdriver, Work Gloves.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Assemble The Holder
    Attach the gas bottle clamp together with the frame.
    Hardware Used

  2. Assemble Holder Onto Regulator/Valve and Table
    1. Mount the body into standard table umbrella hole;
    2. Attach and screw the gas bottle holder into valve/regulator, where is to be attached onto table.
    Part Used

  3. Connect Gas Bottle Into Regulator
    Caution: Only cylinders marked “propane” may be used Some 1-lb cylinders may form frost when near empty
    To complete assembly you will need:
    (1) 16.4 oz LP gas tank (not included).
    (2) Check for Leaks before operating.
    1. Before connecting, be sure there is no debris caught in the head of the LP gas tank, head of the regulator valve or in the head of the burner or burner ports.
    2. Make sure the control knob is in the “ OFF” position;
    3. Insert and Rotate gas bottle clockwise until they fit snugly together. HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.
    Be careful not to crossthread when screwing in tank.

  4. Screw Clip Bolt to Clamp Bottle Tightenly
    1. Insert the clip bolt into gas bottle clamp.
    2. Rotate clockwise to screw the clip bolt until the gas tank/gas bottle is Clipped Tightly.allen roth GAT17001ES-L Gas Tabletop Fire Pit - Fig

  5. Place Fire Glass Into Burner
    CAUTION: Do NOT dump fire glass out of package. Carefully place fire glass by hand so dust does not clog burner.
    CAUTION: Use only Mr.Bar-B-Q Products LLC. factory-authorized fire glass. The use of any fire glass that is not factory-authorized can be dangerous and will void your warranty.
    Caution: Do NOT cover igniter.

  6. Disconnect LP Gas Tank
    CAUTION: LP gas tank must be properly disconnected and removed prior to moving this fire pit.
    Do NOT attempt to disconnect the gas tank or any gas fitting while the outdoor fire pit is in use.
    1. Turn the control knob to the “ OFF” position.
    2. Rotate counterclockwise to screw the clip bolt loosely.
    3. Rotate LP gas tank counterclockwise until it is loose.
    Remove LP gas tank.
    4. Place the protective cap cover.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Light Burner
    WARNING: Always perform a leak test before lighting this outdoor fire pit and each time the tank is connected for use.
    Leak Test: Spoon several drops of solution, or use a squirt bottle to check all gas connections for leaks.
    Cau t ion: Do NOT light until any and all leaks are corrected.
    Caution: Keep outdoor gas appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable.
    Do NOT use in windy conditions. Thermocouple safety feature automatically shall shut off gas flow;
    1. Push and turn the control knob to (HIGH).
    2. Use a long match to light the burner.

  2. Turn Off and Extinguishing:
    1. Turn control knob to the “ OFF” position and allow fire to burn itself out.
    Note: A “poof” sound is normal as the last of the LP gas is burned.
    Caution: Do NOT use water to extinguish the fire. This can be dangerous and cause damage.
    2. Disconnect LP gas tank per “Disconnecting LP Gas Tank” section.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. All cleaning and maintenance should be done when appliance is cool and with the fuel supply removed.
  2. This outdoor fire pit should be inspected on a regular basis to ensure product safety and longer product life.
  3. Check components for any signs of damage or rust.
  4. Wipe exterior surfaces with a mild dishwashing detergent or baking soda.
  5. For stubborn stains, use a citrus-based degreaser and a nylon scrubbing brush.
  6. Rinse clean with water. NEVER use oven cleaner to clean any part of this outdoor fire pit.
  7. Remove built-up creosote from components with a chimney cleaning product.
    Tip: Keeping the outdoor fire pit covered when cooled and not in use will help protect it from the elements.
    CAUTION: Do NOT move or store this outdoor fire pit until the fire is COMPLETELY out and the fire pit has cooled.

WARRANTY

We warrant to the original retail purchaser of this product, and to no other person, that if this product is assembled, maintained, and operated in accordance with the printed instructions accompanying it, then for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, all parts in such product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. We may require reasonable proof of your date of purchase. Therefore, you should retain your sales slip or invoice.
This Limited Warranty shall be limited to replacement parts, which prove defective under normal use and service and which we shall determine in its reasonable discretion upon examination to be defective. Before returning any parts, you should contact our customer service department using the contact information listed on the cover of this manual. If we confirm, after examination, a defect covered by this Limited Warranty in any returned part, and if we approve the claim, we will replace such defective part without charge. If you return defective parts, transportation charges must be prepaid by you.
We will return replacement parts to the original retail purchaser, freight or postage prepaid.
This Limited Warranty does not cover any failures or operating difficulties due to accident, abuse, misuse, alteration, misapplication, improper installation or improper maintenance or service by you or any third party, or failure to perform normal and routine maintenance on the product as set out in this owner’s manual. In addition, the Limited Warranty does not cover damage to the finish, such as scratches, dents, discoloration, rust or other weather damage, after purchase.
This Limited Warranty is in lieu of all other expressed warranties. We disclaim all warranties for products that are purchased from sellers other than authorized retailers or distributors, including the warranty of merchantability or the warranty of fitness for a particular purpose.
WE ALSO DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL IMPLIED  ARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE SHALL
