DESCRIPTION
The Knee Walker is intended for both indoor and outdoor use, allowing users to move around freely. You no longer have to be concerned about being unable to move. Ideal for getting around your house, workplace, supermarket, or park. Please keep in mind that you should not slide at high speeds for your own safety. 1m/s is the recommended speed. The knee scooter provides greater stability for those with poor balance thanks to its durable and non-slip PVC wheels and a wider front axle. Individuals recovering from a foot, ankle, or lower leg injury or surgery, as well as those with below-the-knee amputations, will benefit from this product.
The walker is designed to keep you safe with its easy-grip handlebars and dual braking system. When you intend to keep the walker firmly still, the dual locking system on both brakes provides added security. Crutches require a lot of upper body strength, rub under the armpits, and are unstable. This knee walker is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, is a hands-free / pain- free crutch alternative, and has the most versatility of any knee walker. Products approved by the FSA and HSA are eligible for reimbursement. Congratulations on your purchase of the KneeRover® Economy Knee Scooter!
The KneeRover® Economy Knee Scooter provides a more reliable and comfortable alternative to crutches for patients needing an effective mobility solution at an affordable price.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This medical device is designed to maximize mobility during your recovery from foot/ankle surgery or injury.
Place the knee of your injured leg on the knee platform and stand as straight as possible. Adjust the handlebar to waist height so the arms and hands are in a comfortable position. Adjust the knee platform so that your injured leg is supported at a 90-degree angle when standing.
Ensure that the hand brake is fully engaged before mounting the KneeRover® scooter. To move the scooter, simply push forwards or backwards with your good foot. Allow the scooter to glide, and as it slows down, push again.
SAFETY FIRST
The KneeRover® scooter is designed for easy steering and stopping and should be used to carefully move about at slow, controlled speeds. When turning the scooter you should have the brake applied and be moving at a slow, safe, controlled speed. It is easy to tip the scooter if you are making a turn with too much speed. Use caution and balance and operate at your own risk.
With routine use, nuts and bolts on the steering column and brake mechanism can and likely will become loose. Periodically check nuts and bolts after use and re-tighten as appropriate.

SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: INSTALL HANDLEBARS & STEERING COLUMN
Please carefully complete all steps before operating your new KneeRover scooter. The steering column and handlebars will be separate and in a folded position when unpacking. Insert the handlebars into the steering column, making sure not to twist the brake cables. Next, raise the steering column and push the clamp lever to the left to allow security pin to lock into place (as shown below). Raise the clamp lever upward and tighten by turning it clockwise. Finally, push clamp lever down firmly to secure the steering column (as shown below). Reverse these steps when needing to lower steering column for transport.
STEP 2: ROTATE FRONT WHEELS & SET GUIDE PIN
Pull down the guide pin ring as shown below, and turn the handlebars so that the front wheels and brake handles are facing forward. The BACK sticker MUST be facing back toward the rear wheels with the guide pin between the guide stops. (see photos on top of next page). Be sure that the brake cables are not twisted. The front of the scooter should look similar to the picture on the previous page.
STEP 2: ROTATE FRONT WHEELS & SET GUIDE PIN (CONT.)
STEP 3: INSTALL KNEE PLATFORM & ADJUST HEIGHT
The knee platform is designed to be used with either the right or left leg. Insert the knee platform post into the receptacle tube. Next, set the knee platform at your desired height for use by inserting the locking pin through the aligned holes. Finally, tighten the clamp lever to secure the knee platform in place. Once knee platform is locked in place, install the black knob (as shown below) to set the handlebars at a comfortable height for operation (typically at waist height).

How come it doesn’t have a safety lock?
If you are asking about a lock for the wheels, it does have a wheel lock. Apply the brakes with the handlebar levers and while holding the brake lever, push one of the knobs on top of the brake levers down and it will lock the brakes on the wheels. To release the brake, just depress the brake lever again.
How many degrees is the front axle rotation?
not a lot. You need to back up at times to turn
What kind of tires does this have, hard rubber or inflatable?
I have no idea why so many answered “hard rubber”. In the description, it clearly states at least twice, that they are solid PVC.
I’m 4’10”, will it comfortably adjust for my height?
Not necessarily. I’m 5’2” but at the lowest setting, it’s still at least an inch too tall for me that my other foot needs to be on my tippy toes to even out my hips to reduce pain from not being aligned.
Will this fit someone 4 feet 11 inches
yes, will fit 4’11’
Is anyone having an issue with the scooter smelling like gas? It’s awfully strong and of course, runs off on my hands
Yes my handles smell bad and it gets the smell on my hands. Just bought this July 2022. So far it’s a great Scooter I don’t have any issues with it other than the smell coming off of the handles. Especially because it gets on my hands and then I want to eat with my hands but that’s probably not a good idea and I’m having trouble getting around to wash my hands all the time and if I use the scooter to get around my hands just smell again so it’s a little ridiculous
