PNi A023LR Wireless Smoke Detector
FOREWORD
PNI A023LR is a photoelectronic wireless smoke detector. With a unique design and intelligent micro-control unit, the detector is immune to dust particles or white light interference. PNI A023LR can be used with a wireless alarm system. The detector responds very quickly to smoke released by fire or flame and can be used at home, in the office, in malls, hotels, restaurants, schools, banks, libraries, warehouses, etc.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid installing the detector in areas with permanent smoke, dust, oil, high humidity or strong wind (> 5m / s)
- Choose the right position for the detector, generally in the middle of the ceiling. Fix the detector bracket in the selected position.
- Insert the battery into the detector.
- Fix the detector into the bracket.
- Perform a manual test to check the proper operation of the detector
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Sensitivity testing: periodically a test should be performed to ensure the product is working properly. To perform the test, hold down the test button for a few seconds. If the alarm indicator flashes quickly and the buzzer sounds an alarm it means the detector works properly.
- Alarm mode and buzzer stop: when the smoke density reaches the alarm threshold, the buzzer will start to sound and the alarm indicator will flash rapidly. If the smoke density does not drop, the test button will have no effect. When the smoke density falls below the alarm threshold, by pressing the test button, the detector will enter the test mode. After 10 minutes, the detector will automatically return to its normal operating state.
- Use with an alarm system: when the detector is wirelessly connected to an alarm system, pressing the test button will send an alarm signal to the central unit of the system. To program the detector in an alarm system, long press the test button when the central unit of the system is in learning mode.
- Check in case of malfunction: if the buzzer of the detector emits a short beep every 40 seconds accompanied by a blinking of the alarm indicator, it means that the battery is discharged and needs to be replaced. If the buzzer emits 2 short beeps every 40 seconds with 2 blinks of the alarm indicator, it means that it is a fault on the photoelectronic infrared sensor. In this case, please contact your local distributor. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the detector to avoid other incidents.
Notes:
Clean the surface of the detector with a soft brush once every 6 months to
ensure sensitivity detection. Remember to remove the battery before cleaning.
If you do not use the detector for a long time, remove it from the ceiling,
remove the battery and keep it in a dry, cool place. The smoke detector can
reduce the rate of disaster but can not guarantee 100%.
