2017 – Newer Honda CR-V Behind 2nd Row Seats Rear Barrier Divider Net Installation
NOTE: Many newer models have B-pillar handles and even overhead on the ceiling that can be used for some of the top mounting locations. Check to see if you prefer to use these factory locations as the nets typically have enough adjustment to allow for this option. If your vehicle does not have handles in desired locations or you prefer to install mounting points for better fitment, please follow the below steps.

  • IMPORTANT: READ INSTRUCTIONS FULLY BEFORE STARTING
  • Time: About 30 minutes
  • Paw Level:
  • Tools: (may vary by vehicle)
    • Panel Removal Tool
  • 14 MM Socket & Wrench
    • Drill
  • Assorted Bits, including 11/32” Punch
    • Hammer

INSTALLATION

Step 1

  • Fold the 2nd-row seat flat for best working access. Starting at the rear ceiling trim panel open the child restraint access cover, remove it, and then grasp and carefully pop the center overhead trim panel and set it aside.

  • Note the green nylon inserts don’t fall or get left in the hole in the metal for reassembly later.

  • It may be helpful; to get a couple extra when you order or on our website by searching C116TN or clicking here.

  • Step 2 Loosen the side quarter window trim by carefully wiggling from the rear corners and popping the nylon inserts out. Some may have to also be removed from the holes and reinstalled into their appropriate positions on the plastic trim piece.

  • The lower panel may have to be slightly loosened to allow the upper panel to have enough access in later steps. You should not need to fully remove any of these side panels.

  • Step 3 Pull the top corner of the weatherstripping loose so the edge of the garrish panel is accessible.

  • Make sure the white insert is removed and reinstalled into the trim panel. It is very hard to remove with anything other than a metal trim panel removal tool.

  • Step 4 In the center of the top of a window, grasp the trim and press straight down to release the center tab and green nylon insert.Raingler-2017-Newer-Honda-CR-V-Behind-2nd-Row-Seats-FIG-4

  • Step 5 Just above where the center tab popped out on one side, you’ll have a hole for the SMS (self-cutting thread) bolt and on other side the hole may have to be drilled. We recommend in steps, being very careful as to not let the drill bit strike the outside of the roof metal. Step up to an 11/32” sizes opening. Side with existing OEM hole: —

  • Step 6 With 14mm socket carefully install the SMS bolt, AND the C100XS hardware pieces with the tab facing down on the square ring:

  • Step 7 Reassemble panels paying attention to keep the tether and welded stainless D ring on the outside of the panel and that all plastic tabs line up to their respective holes before pressing or gently popping them into position.
Step 8 Loosely install the top of the nets buckles through the C100XS D rings:Raingler-2017-Newer-Honda-CR-V-Behind-2nd-Row-Seats-

  • Step 9 Install the side straps into the seat upright catch points and the lower straps feed to the outside of the lower hinge bracket for the seat upright section.

  • It is helpful to partially raise the folded seat section up to see and gain access to feed the strap end back into the buckle: *Shown with optional drop-down hooks below:

  • Step 10 Raise seat up and check position of net and tighten fully from top straps, them lower floor straps and lastly middle side straps to get net tight and centered. You can wrap up excess end straps by using this easy method shown in this video: https://vimeo.com/316588617

  • Step 11 Enjoy your Raingler Net. Keep your gear stowed safely in back and your pups in place! Let us know if any comment or questions and tag us when you’ve got your net in use and action!Raingler-2017-Newer-Honda-CR-V-Behind-2nd-Row-Seats-FIG-9
