VIMAR 01906 Wall Luminaires Sound Speaker
Passive speaker IP55 8 ohms 30 W, installation on light walls and false
ceilings
This device is used for playing the music signal transmitted by the audio source, voice messages and acoustic signals for calls or alarms. The speaker can be recess mounted in a false ceiling or surface mounted and is provided with a body made of ther-moplastic material complete with a perforated grille, rubber suspension and polypropylene diaphragm, centring devices made of treated fabric to seal the mobile coil and magnet block.

INSTALLATION.
- Perforate the panel made of plasterboard (or another material) respecting the dimensions indicated on the template provided (fig. 1)
- Levering a screwdriver in the groove (fig. 2), remove the perforated protection from the speaker and secure it to the wall using stainless steel screws (fig. 3-4). NB: Before securing the speaker, silicone its edge so as to obtain IP55 protection.
CONNECTIONS
The connections must be made by qualified personnel only.
Important: Do not connect the speaker cables while the amplifier is on;
switch on the amplifier only when all of the connections have been completed.
It is recommended to use cables of adequate cross-section according to the
distance to cover.
- Connect the line negative (black cable) to the “fasten -” terminal and the positive one (red cable) to the “fasten +” terminal.
- On completing the connections, check that the resulting impedance is no less than the minimum impedance declared for the amplifier; the speaker 01906 is designed to work with articles 01901, 14581, 20581 and with low impedance amplifiers (8 Ω).
INSTALLATION RULES
Installation should be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with
the current regulations regarding the installation of electrical equipment in
the country where the products are installed.
WEEE – Information for users
If the crossed-out bin symbol appears on the equipment or packaging, this
means the product must not be included with other general waste at the end of
its working life. The user must take the worn product to a sorted waste
center, or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new one. Products for
disposal can be consigned free of charge (without any new purchase obligation)
to retailers with a sales area of at least 400 m2, if they measure less than
25 cm. An efficient sorted waste collection for the environmentally friendly
disposal of the used device, or its subsequent recycling, helps avoid the
potential negative effects on the environment and people’s health, and
encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the construction materials.
