  • The jump start may not be used if it or the power cables are damaged. If this happens, pleas have the unit repaired by a professional.
  • The unit is designed for operation in altitudes of up to 2000 m above sea level.
  • While charging lead-acid batteries explosive or hazardous gasses can develop. For this reason charge lead-acid batteries only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid naked flames and sparks.
  • Do not cover the device during operation.
  • The unit does not belong into the hands of children.
  • Do not wear conductive jewellery as necklaces, bracelets or rings while using the unit.

Operation

Principle of Function
When the starter battery of a vehicle does not provide the voltage needed to start the vehicle or to power consumers within the vehicle, there are still significant amounts of energy stored in it. This jump starter is equipped with ultra-capacitors which are charged by the weak battery and then provide sufficient voltage to start the vehicle. The weak battery is not damaged by this. The ultra-capacitors will hold the charge for several days.

Please Notice

  • The jump start box is suitable for petrol engines with a displacement of up to 3 litres and diesel engines with a displacement of up to 2 litres.
  • Only use the jump starter in well-ventilated areas.
  • Put your vehicle in PARK (automatic transmission) or idle (manual transmission) and engage the emergen-cy brake.
  • Turn off all electronics in your vehicle (air conditioner, heated windows, radio, lights, chargers, etc.) to ensure the best performance of the jump starter.
  • Ensure the ignition key is in the “OFF” position in the ignition. For smart-key systems (push-to start vehi-cles), make sure the vehicle is completely “OFF” before connecting the jump starter.

Operation – Standard Mode
In most cases the weak battery can fully recharge the jump starter. Follow these steps to get your car started:

  1. Connect jumper clamps (1) to the battery terminals. Please ensure correct polarity. The indicators (7) will show the voltage of the vehicle’s battery.
  2. Press ON/OFF (4), the jump starter will start to recharge itself. Usually, it will recharge to full within 100 seconds.
  3. The indicators (7) show the voltage of the jump starter during charging.
  4. Wait until the 14 V stops blinking before ignition. Do not make ignition while the 14 V is still blinking!
  5. Disconnect the jump start box and proceed a described below.

Operation – Pre-Charge Mode
Sometimes, the weak battery cannot fully recharge the jump starter within 10 minutes. In this case the control LED (6) will turn on during charging. Follow these four steps to get your car started:

  1. 1. Pre-charge the jump starter from a donator car or battery.
  2. Connect pre-charged jump starter to the car to be started. First connect the red positive cable to the positive terminal of the battery and then the black negative cable to a massive metal part in the engine compartment. Avoid connecting the negative cable to the negative battery terminal. The charging condi-tion indicator (7) shows the voltage of the battery.
  3. Press ON/OFF (4) to active the jump starter, the indicators (7) show up to 14 V.
  4. Turn on the engine.
When the engine is running turn on a powerful consumer, e.g. the heated rear window to compensate the voltage peak caused by disconnecting the box. Turn off the box with the button (4) and first discon-nect the black negative cable and then the red posi-tive cable. Turn off the consumer and operate the vehicle long enough to build a charge in the battery.

Glow Mode
In cold weather, the glow plugs in most diesel vehicles will be preheated electrically. This is indicated by the GLOW indicator on dashboard. The process needs a current of 40 – 60 Amp and takes about 4 – 6 seconds.

  1. In this case, after the jump starter is fully recharged and connected, press the GLOW button (5).
  2. Start the engine after preheating.

Pre-Charge Methods

  1.  From a Battery
Connect the unit to a battery and press ON/OFF (4), the jump starter will be fully recharged within 100 seconds.

  2. From USB
The jump starter can be recharged from any 5 V 1 to 1.5 A USB port via the micro USB port (2). It will take 30 to 45 minutes to be fully recharged. Just connect the unit to the USB port, charging starts automatically.

  3. From a 12 V socket
The jump starter can be recharged from a donator car’s 12 V socket. Just plug in the 12 V adapter (8) and connect it to the charging socket (3). Charging starts automatically. It will take about 180 seconds.
    The Control LED (6)
The control LED (6) turns RED under following error conditions:

    • Reverse connection,
    • Battery voltage is lower than 6 Volt.
The condition indicator blinks between RED and GREEN in the GLOW mode.

Cleaning and Storing

  • Before undertaking any cleaning or storing the charger, unplug the unit.
  • Clean the unit only with a moist cloth and allow it to dry completely before using it again.
  • In no case use abrasives or aggressive chemicals.
  • Store the unit indoors in a dry place that is protected from extreme temperatures.
  • Regularly clean the battery clamps.
