Instruction

1. Mains connection socket
   Supply the device with power via the mains connection socket. Use only the supplied power cord or a country-specific LANCOM power cord.

2. Alternative: Connection terminal for supply voltage
   If necessary, connect the terminals of the connection socket to an external 48 V DC voltage source.

3. SFP interfaces 100M / 1G
   Insert suitable LANCOM SFP modules into the SFP interfaces 1 to 24. Choose cables which are compatible with the SFP modules and connect them as described in the SFP modules mounting i nstructions: www.lancom-systems.com/SFP-module- MI.
   Ports 21 to 24 are combo ports. Only either the TP or the SFP port can be used at a time.

4. TP Ethernet interfaces 10M / 100M / 1G (combo ports) Connect the TP Ethernet combo ports 21 to 24 via Ethernet cables to your terminal devices or a LAN switch.

5. SFP+interfaces 1G / 10G
   Insert suitable LANCOM SFP+ modules into the SFP+ interfaces 25 to 28. Choose cables which are compatible with the SFP modules and connect them as described in the SFP modules mounting i nstructions:
   www.lancom-systems.com/SFP-module-MI.

6. Serial configuration interface (CONSOLE)
   Connect the serial configuration interface via the included serial configuration cable to the serial interface of the device you want to use for configuring the switch.

Please observe the following when setting up the device

• The mains plug of the device must be freely accessible.
• For devices to be operated on the desktop, please attach the adhesive rubber footpads.
• Do not rest any objects on top of the device and do not stack multiple devices.
• Keep the ventilation slots on the side of the device clear of obstruction.
• Mount the device into a 19” unit in a server cabinet.
• Please note that support for third-party accessories (SFP and DAC) is not provided.

Before initial startup, please make sure to take notice of the information regarding the intended use in the enclosed installation guide!Operate the device only with a professionally installed power supply at a nearby power socket that is freely accessible at all times.

   ~5 sec. pressed Device restart
   7~12 sec. pressed Configuration reset and device restart

2. PWR AC / PWR DC / SYS / ALM / LINK/ACT
   PWR AC: green Internal power supply
   PWR DC: green External 48 V power supply
   SYS: green Device operational
   ALM: red Hardware error
   LINK/ACT Port LEDs show link / activity status

3. SFP ports 1G
   Off Port inactive or disabled
   Green Link 1 Gbps
   Orange Link ≤ 100 Mbps

4. TP Ethernet ports 10M / 100M / 1G
   Off Port inactive or disabled
   Green Link 1 Gbps
   Orange Link ≤ 100 Mbps

5. SFP+ ports 1G / 10G
   Off Port inactive or disabled
   Blue Link 10 Gbps
   Green Link 1 Gbps
