Thank you for choosing CrystalWave reheatable food containers which can save you valuable time. Meals cooked in advance can be stored in the refrigerator in CrystalWave products, ready to reheat in the microwave and serve, all in the same container.

Use a low temperature programme on your dishwasher to save energy and protect the environment.

Features & benefits

  • Open the venting cap before placing the sealed bowl in the microwave.
  • In open position, the unique venting cap on the seal releases steam while reheating. The cover will prevent splashing in the microwave.

Use and Care

  • Always make sure to wash your new product before first use.
  • Read all these instructions before first use.
  • Always refer to the instruction booklet of your microwave manufacturer for appropriate product usage. If you have a turntable plate in your microwave, make sure the products fit on it AND the turntable plate turns.
  • The CrystalWave products are for microwave use only; do not use them on the stove top, in a conventional oven or under the grill. For combination microwave ovens, ensure your program does not switch to the oven or grill functions automatically.
  • The CrystalWave products are safe for food temperatures between 0 °C to 120 °C.
  • Always place the product at least 5 cm / 2″ away from the inside walls (including the door) of your microwave oven.
  • Never leave the microwave unattended during use.
  • Remove the product carefully holding it at the handles and using both hands with oven gloves.
  • Always lift off the cover away from you so the steam does not burn your fingers.
  • Do not use metallic or sharp utensils as they may scratch the surface.
  • Always rinse the product in cold water immediately after use to prevent strong odors or stains.
  • Do not use ingredients that are high in fat, oil or sugar.
  • Do not use the product in the microwave without food.
  • The products are made for reheating food in the microwave at 6070% power, not for cooking. Do not put food on the covers to reheat.
  • Maximum reheating time is 3 minutes. However, when reheating more than 2 minutes in the microwave (max 650W), stop in 2 min and stir to ensure even reheating for 1 more minute. Be sure to replace the cover after stirring food during reheating.
  • After reheating, remove the product from the microwave and let it rest on the worktop for a few minutes to allow the temperature to distribute evenly.
  • Always ensure that the vent is in the open position when reheating food.
  • Let the food cool down first before applying the cover to refrigerate.

Cleaning guidelines

  • Allow product to cool gradually before cleaning.
  • Clean the product thoroughly after each use.
  • Wash in hot, soapy water and rinse well, or wash in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or abrasive cleaners (including bleach), as these will scratch the containers.
  • Food with spices or colored food, such as curry, turmeric or tomatoes, could cause staining. The innovative Color Control™ coating in the inside of the products substantially reduces product staining and marking, although we recommend always rinsing the products in cold water immediately after use to help prevent strong food smells or stains. Staining will not affect the performance of the product and is not covered by the Tupperware warranty.
