Thank you for choosing Tupperware Microwave Pasta Maker, which allows you to cook spaghetti and most types of other pasta to perfection. Moreover, it is fast and easy to cook the pasta. You can save time and energy by measuring, cooking, serving and storing pasta in the same container.
Cooking and measuring instructions are engraved in the inside of the cover and on each side of the base.

Cooking guidelines for 1 to 6 average portions.
Refer to the measuring instructions on each side of the base to fill the desired amount of pasta.

  1. Put the pasta in the Pasta Maker and check to which level of pasta portions it corresponds (portions 1 to 6). The pasta level is indicated by a flat line. Select at least the level equal or above the pasta level.
  2. Add cold tap water until the indicated water level of the respective portion. The water level is indicated in the same window by a wavy line. If liked, you can add some salt.
  3. Place, without cover, into the microwave oven at max 800W. Never add oil, butter or any other fat to the water as it would damage your product.
  4. Cooking guidelines:
    | Portions| Microwave cooking time*
    ---|---|---
    Pasta| 3-Jan| Time indicated on package + 4-8min
    6-Apr| Time indicated on package + 8-12min
  • Timing should be adjusted according to the pasta type, microwave power setting and desired texture (al dente or well cooked).

  • Consider that above indications are guidelines and may vary according to the enormous variety of pasta shapes and qualities available on the market.

    1. Remove the Pasta Maker carefully from your microwave oven by holding it with both hands safely on the handles.
    2. Place the cover on the Pasta Maker ensuring the draining holes of the base are aligned with the cut-out of the cover. Drain above the sink.
    3. Turn the cover 180° to keep the pasta hot before serving.

For your satisfaction and safety, there are a few precautions:

  • Always make sure to wash your new product before first use.
  • Always refer to the instruction booklet of your microwave manufacturer for appropriate product usage. If you have a turntable plate, make sure the Pasta Maker fits on it AND the turntable plate turns.
  • The Tupperware Microwave Pasta Maker is safe for food temperatures 0°C to 120°C. Do not use in the freezer. Do not use to cook foods at higher temperatures.
  • Never cook pasta without water as this would damage both the product and the microwave oven.
  • Be sure all the pasta is completely covered by water and respect the indicated water levels.
  • For fresh pasta, we recommend pushing the pasta down slightly to check which water level will be needed according to the level of pasta. We do not recommend cooking fresh pasta which indicate a maximum cooking time on the package of 3 minutes. The taste will not be satisfactory.
  • The MAX pasta level indicated at 6 portions is the real MAXIMUM amount of pasta that can be cooked at any one time in the Pasta Maker.
  • Never put the Pasta Maker in the microwave oven for more than 30 minutes as it might damage the product. Always make sure there is water in the container while microwaving
  • Make sure you do not put the cover on while cooking in the microwave as it would overflow.
  • It is recommended NOT to stir the pasta during the cooking process for a better result.
  • Pasta with high starch content might get sticky during cooking. In that case it is recommended to rinse the pasta before use.
  • Should the pasta stick together after cooking, it might help to rinse the pasta with hot tap water after cooking.
  • It is not recommended to cook certain types of pasta in the Pasta Maker like e.g. lasagna sheets, tagliatelle nests, vermicelli, cannelloni, gnocchi.
  • Contents will be hot after cooking. Use both hands when handling.
  • Always lift the cover away from you while serving so the steam does not burn your fingers.
  • To avoid staining we do not recommend adding saffron, curry or other colouring spices to the pasta or reheating tomato or curry based foods. Staining will not affect the performance of the product and it is not covered by the Tupperware guarantee.
  • In case you have some pasta left, let it cool without the cover, then cover and place in the fridge. If you want to reheat the pasta later (pasta only, no addition of any sauce, spice or other ingredients), add a little bit of water and reheat with the cover in ‘open’ position at max 600W (position the cover with the Tupperware logo on the side of the draining holes of the base).
  • Always rinse the container in cold water immediately after use to help prevent strong food smells or stains. All components are dishwasher safe.
  • Do not use abrasive or sharp utensils to mix, clean or serve.
