- All pool water recirculation system components need to be installed in accordance with the standards and instructions in effect in your county or municipality. Utmost care must be taken to ensure that the equipment is located such that it is able to be safely operated and maintained.
- The system base should be on a leveled, sturdy, solid surface to allow for drainage, and in a dry, well-ventilated area.
- Position the filter a minimum of 5 ft (1.5 m) from the pool or separated by a permanent barrier. Position the filter and all components of the filtration system so they can NOT be used as a means of access to the pool by young children. In Canada the minimum distance maintained from the edge of the pool and/or spa must be 3 meters (10 feet), as required by Canadian Electrical Code (CEC, CSA C22.1). Swimming pool pumps located within 3 meters (10 feet) of the pool walls must be specifically approved for this purpose.
