Congratulations!
With your purchase you have chosen a high-quality product. The operating instructions are an integral part of this product. They contain important information for safety,  use and disposal. Familiarise yourself with all of the operating and safety information before using the product. Use the product only as described and for the specific areas of application.
Keep the instructions for future reference. Provide all of the documentation when passing the product on to third parties.
In the following, the LED Light Tree is referred to as the product.

The product is not intended for commercial use. Different use or a modification to the product are not deemed as intended use and may lead to risks, such as injuries and damage. The distributor assumes no liability for damage that results from improper use.

– it is not suitable for household room lighting.
The product is a decorative product and not a toy.

– Do not let children play with the product or the packaging.
– Supervise children who are close to the product.
– Keep the product and the packaging out of the reach of children.

Not suitable for children  under the age of 8! There is a risk of injury!
– Children from the age of 8, as well as people with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience and knowledge, must be supervised when using the product and/or be instructed regarding the safe use of the product and understand the resulting dangers.
– Children are not allowed to play with the product.
– Maintenance and/or cleaning of the product is not allowed to be performed by children. Observe national regulations!
– Observe the applicable national requirements and regulations for the use and disposal of the product.

Do not use in an explosive environment!  There is a risk of injury!
–  The product is not allowed to be used inan explosive (Ex) environment. The product is not approved for an environment, in which flammable liquids, gases or
dust are present.

A defective product is not allowed to be used! There is a risk of injury!
– Do not use the product in the case of malfunctions, damage or defects.
– Significant danger can occur for the user in the case of improper repairs.
– If you find a defect in the product, have the product checked and repaired if necessary before putting it back into operation.
– The LEDs are not replaceable. If the LEDs are defective, the product must be disposed of.
– The cable is not interchangeable. If the cable is defective, the product must be disposed of.
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
** The product is not allowed to be manipulated! There is a risk of injury from electric shock!
– The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modified under any circumstances. Manipulations/modifications can cause danger to life from electric shock. Manipulations/modifications are prohibited for approval reasons (CE).
– Check voltages**! Make sure that the existing mains voltage corresponds to the  specification on the rating place. Failure to comply can lead to excessive heat development.
-Never touch the power plug with wet hands, if it is in operation.
-The product must not be covered up during use. The product must not be electrically connected to another light chain or similar.
-Always unplug the power supply unit from the wall outlet before mounting, disassembling or cleaning.
-Do not operate the product with an extension cord or multiple plug.

CAUTION!
Risk of damage to property!
– Never expose the product to high temperatures and moisture, otherwise the product may be damaged.
– Keep the product away from fire and open flames!
– Prevent mechanical stress on the product!
CAUTION!
Danger of overheating!
Remove packaging prior to use.

Start-up

  1. Remove all packaging materials.
  2. Check whether all parts are available and undamaged.

If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.

Assembly
Place the product only on a flat, level surface. Pay attention to the fact that the occupied area requires approx. 4 x 4 m of free space.
NOTE!
Leave the LED strands 12 coiled for the time being to simplify assembly.
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
The LED strands 12 must not be operated in the wound-up state.
Danger of overheating!
For safety reasons, keep the product switched off during all steps of the Assembly.

  1.  Insert the ground spike 5 as deep as possible into your intended spot in the ground.
    CAUTION!
    Risk of injury!
    – The ground must be sufficiently firm and stable to hold the ground spike 5 .
    – If the ground is too firm to press the ground spike 5 into the ground, loosen the ground slightly.
    – Wear suitable protective gloves when inserting the ground spike 5 .
    CAUTION!
    Risk of damage to property!
    – Do not insert the ground spike 5 into the ground if the ground is frozen or if you feel a strong resistance. You could damage the ground spike 5 !
    – Do not use a hammer or other tools when inserting the ground spike 5 . You could damage the ground spike 5 !

  2. Place the LED star 1a on the bracket 1b on the top section 1 , see Fig. B.
    NOTE!
    The LED star 1a is connected to the top section 1 by the wiring.

  3. As shown in Fig. B, connect the pole 1c of the top section and the other poles 3 using the connectors 4 .

  4. Carefully unwind the LED strands 12.
    NOTE!
    Make sure that the LED strands 12 do not get tangled in each other when unwinding.

  5. Carefully insert the pole assembled in step 3. onto the ground spike 5 , see Fig. B.

  6. Check all plug connections of the product for secure and tight fit.

  7. Attach the pegs 6 to the end of the LED strands 12, see Fig. E.

  8. Attach each peg 6 together with the LED strand 12 to the desired position on the ground, see Fig. E/F.

NOTE!
Risk of damage to property!
Do not tension the LED strands 12 too tightly. The product may become damaged. Start-up of the power supply unit
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
There is a risk of injury from electric shock!
The product may only be operated with the supplied power supply unit 2 !
The product may only be operated with the supplied power supply unit 2 with the model designation MLS-D24V1.5WG3TK-IP44.
The product must be disposed of if the power supply unit 2 is defective.
1. Insert the plug 8 according to the polarity into the output socket 9 see Fig. C.
NOTE!
For this, please pay attention to the recess and polarity in the outlet socket 9 .
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
There is a risk of electric shock!
The product must not be used without the  sealing ring 8a properly attached to the plug 8 , see Fig. C!
2. Screw the union nut 10 clockwise onto the output socket 9 , see Fig. C.
NOTE!
– Make sure that the union nut 10 does not tilt and that it is firmly tightened. This is the only way that weather-proofness in accordance with IP44 can be guaranteed.
CAUTION!
Risk of damage to property!
– Make sure that the power supply cable 7 is never crushed, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
– Make sure that the power supply cable 7 hangs loosely and is not too taut. Otherwise there is a risk of cable breakage.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
– To minimize the risk of tripping posed by a loosely laid power supply cable 7 , if possible, wrap the power supply cable 7 one to several times around the pole of the product before connecting the connected power supply unit 2 to a wall outlet, see Fig. F.
Product switch on/off
To switch on the product, plug the power supply unit 2 , which is properly connected to the power supply cable 7 , into an easily accessible and properly installed wall outlet.
The product is now switched on and illuminated.
To switch the product off, remove the power supply unit 2 from the wall outlet. The product is now switched off.
Timer function (6-hour timer)
The product is fitted with a timer function. If you press the timer button 11 on the power supply unit 2 , the timer function switches ON, see Fig. D. When the timer function is activated, the timer button 11 lights up green.
When the timer function is activated, the product switches OFF automatically after 6 hours. After an- other 18 hours, the product will automatically switch back ON. This daily rhythm repeats as long as the timer function remains activated.
By pressing the timer button 11 on the power supply unit 2 again, you switch the timer function OFF. The green LED in the timer button 11 goes out.
Disassembly
To disassemble the product, unplug the power supply unit 2 from the wall outlet and then follow the steps listed under Assembly in reverse order.

Cleaning and care instructions

**WARNING!
Risk of injury!**
Before cleaning, you must unplug the power supply unit 2 from the wall outlet. There is a risk of electric shock!
– only clean with a dry cloth
– do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals
– do not immerse in water
– store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light

Disposal

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centres.
Disposal of the product
The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. For information on disposal options for the product, please contact your local council/municipality or  your Kaufland shop.

Warranty

Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty described in the following.

Warranty conditions

The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This document is required as verification of the purchase.
If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the submission of the purchase receipt and the defective product within the three- year period and a short written description of the defect and when it arose.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the
product.
Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects
The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already exist upon
purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.
Scope of guarantee
The device has been carefully produced under strict quality guidelines and conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to material or manufacturing faults.This guarantee does not extend to product parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, battery packs or which are made of glass.
This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not commercial use. In the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and with interventions, which are not performed by our authorised service branch, the guarantee shall lapse.
Processing in the case of a guarantee claim
To ensure quick processing of your concern, please follow the instructions below:
– Please have the till receipt and article number  available (IAN) 390508 – 2201 as proof of the purchase.
– You can find the article number on the rating plate on the product, as an engraving on the product, the title place of your instructions or the sticker on the back or underside of the product.
– If malfunctions or other defects occur, first contact the service department below by telephone or e-mail.
– You can then send a product that has been recorded as being defective, including the proof of purchase (till receipt) and stating what  the defectis and when it occurred,
postage-free to the service address provided to  you.
