Locate vehicle’s diagnostic port and detach it from its original location. This is compatible with J1939 or J1708 (9-pin) ports.
ldentify the mounting clip that matches the existing connector.
For vehicles with Type 2 (green) connectors: Apply the Type 2 Indicator Label
Attach appropriate mounting clip-match up colored line with white line on the connector, and ensure the teeth lock at the 2locations. Note: clips are reversible and can be used to mount with the Hexagonal nut (tab facing wires) or with the Circular Nut (tab facing outwards)
Connect Samsara cable to vehicle port and twist to lock.
Mount new port to stock location. Use the washer for larger panel cutouts.
Plug the Samsara gateway connector into the Gateway. It will click when fully inserted.
Fasten connected gateway in a secure position. Verify the gateway indicator light turns green, this could take 1-3 minutes.
