Description of the LED light (headphones)
- Steady green light: the headphones are active and the sound from the sound source is being sent to the headphones.
- Steady red light: the built-in microphone is activated.
- Flashing green: the sound is not being sent to the headphones.
- Off: the headphones are switched off (ON/OFF switch set to OFF, or the headphones have automatically switched to standby mode as they have not detected a signal from the base transmitter for 10 minutes).
choosing the location For the base transmitter
Before using your headphones, you need to choose a location near to the device you want to listen to, your television, for example.
- Do not place the transmitter beside a metal object such as metal shelving or reinforced concrete walls. This could reduce the base transmitter’s range.
- The transmitter and the receiver do not need to be within visual range. You are free to move about within your home within a radius of 20 metres.
- Keep the base transmitter and its accessories out of the reach of children.
connections
Connecting the base transmitter to the mains
- Plug the end of the power cord into the power connector (DC IN) on the back of the base transmitter.
- Then plug the mains adapter into a mains outlet. The power indicator then flashes for 6 seconds.
lf you won’t be using the device for an extended period (going on holiday, for example), we recommend unplugging the mains adapter from the mains outlet.
Connecting the base transmitter to a sound source
Once you have chosen a location, you then need to plug one end of the supplied
3.5 mm jack cable into the AUDIO IN input, located on the back of the base
transmitter.
You have a number of options, depending on the device you want to listen to
with your headphones.
CONNECTING THE BASE TRANSMITTER TO THE HEADPHONE JACK ON YOUR SOUND
SOURCE
- Plug one end of the supplied 3.5 mm jack cable into the headphone jack on your television. The headphone jack is located either on the front or the side of the television. Please refer to your device’s instruction manual to find it.
- Plug the other end into the AUDIO IN input, located on the back of the base transmitter.
Note: in the majority of cases, this will turn off the speakers on your television. Sound is then only emitted from the headphones.
CONNECTING THE BASE TRANSMITTER TO THE RCA JACK ON YOUR SOUND SOURCE
If your television has RCA audio outputs (2 outputs: 1 red, 1 white), you can also use a 2x RCA adapter cable (not supplied).
- Plug your 3.5 mm jack / RCA adapter into one end of the 3.5 mm jack cable.
- Plug the red and white RCA jacks on the adapter into the red and white RDA jacks on your sound source.
- Plug the other end of the 3.5 mm jack cable into the AUDIO IN input, located on the back of the base transmitter.
Warning! Make sure that the volume of your audio source is high enough. If
not, the product may not be able to detect the signal and will go into standby
mode.
We recommend setting the volume of your audio source to at least 50% to ensure
the signal is strong enough.
Note: You can adjust the end volume using the volume control on your
headphones.
charging the battery
There are two options to charge the battery:
- With the battery in the headphones, place the headphones in the charging compartment on the base transmitter, or
- Remove the battery from the headphones and place it in the base, on the right side.
The relevant LED light comes on:
- the light is red when charging, and
- green when fully charged.
The base transmitter must be plugged into a power outlet and the on/off switch
on the headphones must be set to OFF.
Note: you can also charge two batteries at once using methods 1 and 2, if
you have an additional battery (not supplied).
Fully charge the battery before using the headphones for the first time. Fully charging the battery takes no longer than 2 hours. A fully charged battery has a battery life of around 8 hours.
- Always store the headphones on the charging base so that they are charged before each use.
- The charging system is designed to never overcharge the battery.
- When the headphone battery’s charge level is low, the green light will flash slowly.
- If not used for an extended period, please charge the battery regularly (once every 3 months).
use
Turning the headphones on
Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
The on/off LED light on the headphones flashes if no audio is being
transmitted, and switches on once the system is active.
Adjusting the volume
Place both ear tips in your ears
Use the volume control knob to adjust the volume. Set the volume on your sound
source to a medium level to improve the quality of the transmission.
Never set the volume to the maximum so as not to damage your hearing.
Use with speakers
- Some sound sources will automatically deactivate the speakers as soon as you activate the headphone jack. In this case, you can only listen to your sound source using your headphones.
- With other sources, televisions for example, you can continue to listen using both the headphones and the television’s speakers. This means that other people can listen to the programme you are watching.
- If you want to deactivate the speakers on your television, press the MUTE button on your remote control or activate the mute function in your device’s setting menu. Please refer to your television’s instruction manual for more information.
Setting the balance on the headphones
The balance on the headphones means that you can adjust the balance between the left and right earpiece, so that you can hear with both ears.
- Turn the control knob clockwise to have the sound go only to the left earpiece.
- Turn the control Knob anticlockwise to have the sound go only to the right earpiece.
- Position the control knob in the centre to distribute the sound evenly between the left and right.
Using the built-in microphone
These stethoscope-style headphones have a built-in microphone.
The microphone amplifies sounds in the vicinity, such as conversations for
example, and emits them through the two earpieces.
To activate the microphone and pause the sounds from your sound source, press
the MIC button, as shown opposite.
Press the MIC button again to deactivate this function.
Using the MONO/STEREO function
The MONO/STEREO selector adapts to the selected sound source:
1. Set the selector to STEREO: if you can hear sound in both earpieces, the
connected sound source is stereophonic. This is the correct setting.
2. If you can only hear sound in one earpiece, your sound source is
monophonic. Set the selector to MONO: you will be able to hear the sound in
both earpieces.
Adjusting the bass and treble settings
The bass/treble setting button allows you to choose between 3 modes. Keep pressing the button until you select your chosen mode.
troubleshooting guide
lf you are having trouble with your stethoscope-style headphones, please carry out the basic checks listed below. If you cannot solve the problem by following the instructions below, contact your store’s service department.

No sound:
» Check that the mains adapter is plugged into the power outlet properly.
» Check that the power cord is plugged into the back of the base transmitter correctly.
» Check that the on/off switch on the headphones is set to “ON”.
» Check that the sound source is switched on, correctly connected to the AUDIO IN port on the base transmitter, and that it is transmitting sound.
» Check that the base transmitter is connected to an audio output (generally indicated by the words OUT or OUTPUT on televisions).
» The headphones may not have enough battery. Recharge the battery.
» Check that the headphone’s volume control button is not set to minimum. If it is, turn up the volume.
» Your audio source volume is too high or low, which is causing disruption. Adjust the volume on your audio source. We recommend setting the volume of your audio source to 50%, and adjusting the volume of your headphones using the volume control. -

» The headphones may not have enough battery. Recharge the battery.
» The headphones are too far from the base transmitter. The maximum range is 20 meters. -
The switch on the headphones is set to ON but the indicator light does not come on:
» The headphones have been deactivated because they haven’t detected a signal for a certain period of time. Slide the switch on the headphones to OFF, then put it back to ON to activate the headphones. -
The headphones and the base no longer seem to be paired:
» Unplug the base from the power supply.
» Turning the headphones on
