Safety Instructions

| Warning!

  • Read carefully the operating instructions before use.
  • Ensure that only trained staff works with the instrument.

---|---
| Protective ground contact!

  • Make sure the socket is properly earthed (with protective ground contact) before use.

  • When working, wear the necessary personal protective equipment to avoid the risk of:

    • Burns caused by splashing and evaporation of liquids
    • Intoxication caused by release of toxic or flammable gases.
  • Set up the instrument on a spacious, stable, clean, non-slip, dry, and fireproof surface. Do not operate the instrument in explosive atmospheres, with hazardous substances, or under water.

  • Gradually increase the speed, reduce the speed if:

    • The stirring bar comes off due to a too high speed
    • The instrument is not running smoothly or the container moves on the base plate
  • Process pathogenic materials only in closed vessels.

  • Be aware of hazards due to:

    • Overfilling of media
    • Unsafe container
  • If the stirring bar contains PTFE, please note:

    • Elemental fluorine, trifluoride ion, and alkali metals will corrode PTFE. Halogen hydrocarbons expand PTFE at room temperature.
    • Molten alkali, alkaline earth metals or their solution, as well as elements on second and third column of the Periodic Table of elements will react with PTFE when temperature reaches 300 ~400 ºC
  • The instrument can only be disconnected from the main power supply by pulling out from the mains plug, not the cable.

  • The voltage stated on the label must correspond to the main power supply.

  • Do not cover the device.

  • The instrument may only be opened by experts.

  • Keep away from high magnetic fields.

  • Observe the minimum distances between the devices, between the device and the wall and above the assembly (min. 100 mm)

Proper Use

The instrument is designed for mixing liquids in schools, laboratories or factories.
This device is not suitable for use in residential areas or other constraints mentioned in Chapter 1.

Faults

  • If a unit fault happens, please power OFF the instrument and then:
    • Switch the unit back ON.
    • The stirring function will continue to operate at the speed set before the fault took place.
  • Instruments cannot be powered ON.
    • Make sure the power cable is plugged in.
    • Check whether the fuse is broken or loose.
  • Stir speed cannot reach set point.
    • Excessive medium viscosity may cause an abnormal motor speed reduction.

If these faults are not resolved, please contact the manufacturer/supplier.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Proper maintenance can keep instruments working properly and lengthen their lifetime.
  • Do not spray cleanser onto the instrument when cleaning.
  • Unplug the power line when cleaning.
  • Only use recommended cleansers:
    Dyes| Isopropyl alcohol
    ---|---
Construction materials| Water    containing    surfactants / Isopropyl alcohol

  • If the device is to be shipped, it must be clean and packed in its original carton. Avoid contamination from hazardous substances.
  • The ceramic coating makes the instrument easier to maintain and more resistant to acids and bases. However, it makes it also more sensitive to extreme temperature fluctuations and to impact forces (risk of cracking of the coating).

Note

  • Electronic devices cannot be cleaned with cleanser.
  • If maintenance service is needed, the instrument must be cleaned in advance to avoid pollution from hazardous substances, and shipped in its original packing.
  • If the instrument will not be used for a long time, please switch off and place in a dry, clean stable location at room temperature and.
