Production Introduction

This product is a photoelectric smoke alarm, designed with ultra-low power Zigbee technology, featuring low power consumption, high security, and interoperability. It can detect the presence of smoke in real time. Once a smoke fire hazard is detected, the sensor’s red LED flashes quickly and a high-decibel alarm sounds, alerting your family in time. With the use of the smart gateway, remote alarm messages can be pushed to APP in real time.

Device Adding

• Open the APP and enter into gateway, then tap “+” to add smoke sensor according to the instructions.

Tips
Due to the APP upgrade and update, this guideline may be slightly different from the actual operation, please follow the instructions in the APP.

• If networking failed, please move the device closer to the gateway and try again.
• Please add the device to the gateway first, and then install and fix it.

• Add device: press and hold the networking button for 2 seconds, until the green LED flashes quickly, then the device will be shown in the APP.
• Delete device: press and hold the networking button for 5 seconds, until the green LED flashes slowly, indicating the device is deleted from gateway.

Function Description

1. Alarm status: When the smoke sensor detects that the smoke concentration exceeds the limit, the red LED flashes and the buzzer sound alarm.
2. Fault condition: When the internal circuit of the smoke sensor fails, the red LED flashes twice every 53 seconds, and the buzzer beeps two times.
3. Mute state: When cooking or vapor causes the smoke sensor to alarm, press the mute button to silence the sensor. When mute, the buzzer stops sounding alarm. The red LED flashes once every 10 seconds and the mute time is 90 seconds. After 90 seconds, it automatically returns to normal detection.
4. Low battery: When the battery voltage is lower than the normal working voltage, the red LED flashes once every 53 seconds, and the buzzer beeps once.

Installation Precautions

1. This product is for indoor use only.
2. Do not install the sensor in a location with high temperature and humidity, or with large oily fume. Keep the air around the sensor clean.
3. Avoid a lot of paint, thinners, etc. that produce colloidal aerosol near the sensor, so as not to affect the normal monitoring of the sensor.
4. This product is a household smoke sensor, which can give audible and visual warning when fire occurs, but it can not extinguish the fire.
5. Smoke, heat, and burning products arising to ceils will spread The installation of smoke sensors in the center of the ceiling is the preferred location. Please maintain a distance of at least 30cm from the fixture or omament. Keep at least 15cm away from walls and corners. If the hall exceeds 12 meters, it should be installed at both ends of the hall.

Product Installation

1. Please put gateway into the center of alarms.
2. Please shorten the distance between gateway and alarms.
3. Please reduce barriers between gateway and alarms.
4. Avoid installing in places with high noise or high frequency interference, or places near metal, air conditioner, heater devices, current circuit breaker control box.
5. Building materials with metal net or metal bar may reduce the wireless transmission distance, like reinforced concrete wall.
6. Damping of the signal makes direct ratio with barrier, if the materials of the barrier is homogeneous.
7. Select a suitable location and attach the sensor bracket to the ceiling with 3M tape or screws.
   Then rotate the sensor clockwise into the mounting bracket.

Recommended Installation Location

• Rotate the bracket anticlockwise out from the installation base.
• Step 1: remove the double-sided tape and stick alarm on wall or ceiling.
• Step 2: fixed the bracket into ceiling by using screws.

Installation with double-sided adhesive should pay attention to as follows:

1. Make sure the installation surface is smooth. flat, stable, dry and clean.
2. After installation, regularly check whether the product is attached firmly to the installation surface.
   

• Remove the battery insulating strip to electrify the alarm, and rotate alarm into bracket clockwise.
• To engage tamper-resist feature, insert the locking pin into the hole on edge of smoke alarm device after the device is properly positioned.

Mute And Self-test

Please make sure that there is no real danger of fire when mute the alarm, do not block the smoke alarm from alarming. When false alarm happens, press hush button to mute the alarm.
Press and hold the test button for 3 seconds, until the smoke alarm sounds alarm. Recommend to test the smoke alarm monthly. Prohibit to test the alarm by using a fire.

Battery Replacement

• When the alarm device indicates low battery. please replace the battery in time to avoid affecting the normal use of the product.
• Correctly replace the battery according to the positive and negative poles of the battery, pay attention to environmental protection, and properly dispose of used batteries.

Maintenance

1. Press test button to test alarm devices weekly, after devices are put into use. Please inspect the alarm device or return to factory if any faults happened ( buzzer does not  make sound, LED does not turn on).
2. Battery can use around 3 years under normal condition, high temperature, high humidity or other poor condition may shorten battery life span.
3. Please change the same battery timely when low power indication occurs.
4. Make sure alarm devices in good condition, and take measures for dust proof, damp proof and corrosion proof etc.
5. Do not dismantle alarm devices privately if any problems of alarm devices happened.
6. Recommend to change new battery after real fire alarm happened.
