USER MANUAL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
Thank you for using this product. Read, observe and adhere to the following
safety instructions. Please keep the operating manual. Observe all the warning
notices on the components and in the operating manual.
PROPER USE
The device is designed solely for operation on audio and video equipment in
private environments and solely for indoor use. Connect it as specified in the
operating instructions. Also observe the operating instructions of the devices
to be connected. Only use accessories which have been recommended by the
manufacturer. The device may only be operated in the specified voltage range!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Do not expose the device to high levels of humidity under any circumstances.
Only operate the device on places which does not have a high level of relative
humidity and is free of moisture. Moisture can bypass the electrical
insulation and pose a lethal danger. Do not position the equipment near
sources of heat, heaters, ovens or other heat-producing devices. Note that
electric devices may heat up during operation.
Extreme temperature fluctuations, humidity and extended exposure to light can
damage the cable and alter their appearance. Make sure that no foreign objects
or liquids enter the device.
Make sure that the rack or board can safely support the weight of the device.
All cables must be placed in such a way that there is no danger to damage them
(e.g. being stepped on, sharp edges etc.). The cable must not be bended,
pulled or twisted. Never remove cables by pulling the cable; instead, always
hold the plug when disconnecting.
Pay attention to the accuracy and correct fit of the plugs or connectors. Do
not use high force to plug the connectors into the device sockets.
In stand-by mode the devices connected to the Power Station are disconnected
from the mains on all poles (phase and neutral conductor).
However, the absence of voltage is only ensured when the power plug is pulled
out.
Devices which are connected to the mains consume electricity and are always a
potential fire hazard. Therefore it is recommended to completely disconnect
the power station from the mains during absence!
FUSE
A fuse of 20A as part of the electrical installation of the building is
assumed.
PROTECTIVE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR
The device corresponds to protection class 1, which requires proper protective
earthing. The electrical safety of the device is therefore only guaranteed if
the protective grounding conductor of the device is connected to the
protective grounding conductor of the electrical installation of the building.
In order to avoid property damage and personal injury (e.g. electric shock)
due to a missing or interrupted protective earthing conductor, this basic
safety requirement must be met. Only use power cables with a protective
conductor and sockets with a protective contact. If in doubt, have the house
installation checked by a qualified electrician.
POWER DISCONNECTION
The power cord must be able to be unplugged for safe disconnection from the
mains. For this purpose, the power plug must be freely accessible in order to
disconnect the device quickly from the mains in case of a failure.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance on the product may only be performed by persons qualified to do
so. Maintenance is necessary in all cases of damage, i.e. in the case of
damaged cables and plugs, as well as after liquid spills or objects falling on
the device, devices falling down, foreign objects entering the device,
exposure of device to rain or humidity, or other influences impairing the
functioning of the component.
LOOKING AFTER THE PRODUCT
Disconnect the components from the power supply before cleaning them Always
clean the components with a soft, dry and lint-free cloth, or with a brush. Do
not under any circumstances use scouring powder, alcohol, benzine, furniture
polish or similar substances.
POWER CABLES / POWER BARS
When using multiple power boards and extension cables, pay special attention
to the DIN VDE 0100 part 420, para. 4.1 (risk of fire in electrical
installations). Furthermore, the VDE 0100-410:2007-06 also requires short
breaks of 0.4 s for the TN system. The temperature of the cable may rise in
such cases to the point of causing a fire. here fore, the following applies
to ALL power boards: Do not connect them in a row and do not use if covered!
For power bars with two-pin relay, the units connected to the switched sockets
will be reliably and 2-pin (also known as all-pin) disconnected from the
mains. However, the absence of voltage in the unit is only ensured when the
mains plug is disconnected.
DESCRIPTION
Video and audio quality starts at the mains. Unfortunately, the power grid is
usually heavily loaded and enriched with a wide range of interferences. Many
especially digital equipment, switched-mode power supplies, car charging
stations and photovoltaic systems generate strong distortions on the network,
which cause problems for the connected audio devices. The power supplies and
audio circuits in the audio devices are stressed, but can only compensate
parts of this interference. The rest influences the audio signal and covers
the sound of the HiFi System like a veil.
The Referenz AC-4500 Power Station includes, among other things, high-quality
mains current filters that are specially designed for high-end applications.
Specially developed
filter networks divert relevant distortions to ground. In this way, fine
facets of the music keep alive and can be discovered more clearly.
The heart of the Reference AC-4500 Power Station also includes a powerful DC
suppression that filters direct current components from the mains. As a
result, the connected devices are supplied with “symmetrically” power, which
particular protects toroidal transformers from becoming magnetically
saturated. This prevents the familiar transformer hum and improves efficiency
as well as the sound performance

INSTALLATION
After unpacking the Power Station, place it in the desired location. Please
note the safety instructions. Connect the devices to the AC-4500 according to
the respective operating instructions.
If you want to connect your system in the correct phase, the markings on the
sockets will help you. Ask your specialist dealer about this. Finally, connect
the Power Station to the mains.
After checking all connections switch on the Power Station on the front.

OPERATION
Use the button on the front of the AC-4500 to turn the power outlets on and
off. When the Power Station is switched off, the phase and the neutral
conductor of the connected devices are disconnected from the mains (all-pole).
The LED above the ON / OFF button indicates the operating status. If the LED
lights up red, the sockets are switched off. If the LED lights up blue, the
sockets are switched on.
ATTENTION: It is essential to follow the operating instructions for the
connected devices! Some devices have to be shut down like a computer BEFORE
being disconnected from the mains in order to prevent data losses. This is
particular important when switching off the AC-4500!
