Introduction
With Eve Light Strip, you can use superior HomeKit-compatible LED technology to illuminate any solid surface. You can reduce the 1800 lumens to a soft glow for understated elegance or turn them on for a room-wide atmosphere. All of this is done in full spectrum white and countless hues that you can select using Siri or an app. Wi-Fi: Before adding the Eve Energy Strip, make sure your router’s 2.4 GHz band is enabled and that your iPhone is using the band. Later, you can use the 5 gigahertz frequency to reconnect your iPhone. The router’s DHCP feature needs to be turned on. It is necessary to disable MAC address authentication.
The Bonjour protocol (Multicast) is necessary for all Wi-Fi-based HomeKit- compatible devices to function. Verify that the Wi-Fi router and extra access points have Bonjour and Multicast enabled. Using network programs like “Storm Control” and others, Bonjour and multicast can be blocked. Turn off this setting. The so-called Powerline/PowerLAN adapters also limit or disallow Bonjour. HomeKit-based Wi-Fi devices should not be used with these access points.
GET STARTED
- First, connect Eve Light Strip to the controller. Then connect the controller to the power supply and plug it into a power outlet.
- As Eve Light Strip powers up, it will perform a quick test by cycling through each color.
- The length of Eve Light Strip can be adjusted to accommodate your chosen application. To shorten Eve Light Strip, use a pair of scissors to cut along an indicated trim line (approximately every 30 cm).

- Download the Eve app from the App Store.

- As Eve Light Strip powers up, it will perform a quick test by cycling through each color.
- Open the Eve app and tap Add Accessory. Eve will now guide you through the setup process. If you have already set up another accessory, go to Settings in Eve to add Eve Light Strip to your home.
EXTEND
- To extend Eve Light Strip, simply connect another strip. Eve Light Strip can be daisy-chained to a maximum length of 10 m.
The light source of this accessory is non-replaceable. When the light source
reaches its end of life, the entire light strip should be replaced.
RESET
Please keep your HomeKit Setup Code in a safe place. You need it to securely add Eve to your home, and nobody but you have a copy.

If there is a gap (between the stove), is there a way to jump it?

No, the part you cut won’t work any longer.
I have gone away from the hue strips because of its height (thickness) . what is the height of these strips?
There is not much difference on the thickness of the light strip, sorry.
Is Thread enabled yet on this product version?
No, it is not. Eve Light Strip uses Wi-Fi.
can this strip be cut to extend over a gap? Solder my own wires or is there an extender? Need (2) 36″ strips 24″ apart.
You can find the right connectors to extend over gaps. There are kits and pieces sold on Amazon. You must get the right adapter/number of pins is all.
If I put four separate strips in the kitchen, can I turn them all on and off at once with Siri?
After being added to your HomeKit network, each strip is seen as a different thing to control. They’ll be individually adjustable for not only on and off, but also for intensity and color
Have these lights been updated to work on an outdoor screen porch? I see in the above description it states they are indoor and outdoor.
Eve Light Strip is for indoor use only, operating range are: 0°C – 35°C / 32°F – 104°F, 5% – 95% humidity.
Can the light strip be turned off and on manually? or only with the app.
There is no physical switch on the light strip, so the light strip can only be turned on and off via the Eve or Apple Home app.
Can I use my own 24v source? I have a new construction with low wattage wires already in place. Wires run to a transformer in separate room.

Does this light work for seasonal depression? It says full spectrum but I’m just checking.
No, it does not, sorry. It provides full spectrum of colors though.
Can it be use with Lutron caseta dimmable switch?
No, this won’t work. The power supply uses AC->DC 24 Volts/1.2 Amp and this should not be dimmed.
Can this strip be controlled while away from home?
Yes, this is possible. You need a home hub in your network at home (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207057)
What are the dimensions of the power supply? (an image would be nice as well)
