HOW TO INSTALL
- Put in your new Wiz light bulb
- Download the WiZ app
HOW TO TRIGGER PAIRING MODE
You must use the power switch to turn on your light three times in a row, waiting for one to two seconds between each ON. Your light will then begin to pulse in either cool white or blue (color light) (tunable white light). It can now be added to your WiZ application’s Home page.
HOW TO CONNECT WITH APP
- Open the WiZ app on your smartphone.
- Click Add room.
- Select the kind of room.
- Name the room, then hit Save.
- Select Add a device.
- Select the Light device type.
- If prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password and hit Continue.
HOW TO RECONNECT TO WIFI
- Verify whether the lightbulb or lamp is within Wi-Fi range. Check your Wi-Fi connectivity while standing next to the lightbulb or lamp.
- Verify that the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on your home router is enabled on your phone.
- Open the WiZ app and begin pairing.
HOW TO CHANGE COLOR
To access the light mode picker, tap the area in the center of the screen directly below the list of your lights. You may access any light mode as well as the custom color selection to choose the color you prefer from that window. To choose a light mode, press on it.
HOW TO RESET
Switch the light on for two seconds, then off for two. Three more times, repeat. The bulb will blink following the fourth cycle, signifying that the reset was successful.
FAQs
Is this bulb the same as e27?
A19 refers to the Bulb Shape. e27 is the standard USA bulb base for screw in bulbs. e means Edison and 27 refers to the diameter in millimeters or 27mm. This is the standard bulb and bulb base used in the USA. Note, standard means the usual 25watt to 100-watt equivalents. It is NOT a candelabra or mini-screw base like a nightlight.
Do these work with 5 ghz Wi-Fi?
Yes. So easy to set up. So many color options.
Can I use this bulb in an e27 ceiling light?
The bulb doesn’t work in a lamp with Alexa.
Will these work in a 3-way lamp?
Yes. Keep the lamp set to its brightest setting (i.e. Pulling chain three times to what would be highest setting for dimmer bulb) and that’s that, turn on and off with your phone. The other answerer must have no idea what a 3-way lamp is.
Can they be used outdoors?
I thought I had posted this answer before but maybe my text didn’t make it. The bulbs are NOT weather-proofed and must be kept dry. However, if they have access to the Wi-Fi signal they were programmed with, they work fine almost anywhere. If you place them far away from your house and the Wi-Fi signal doesn’t reach them, they won’t respond to commands to turn on, set color, or anything else.
What do they do when power is restored? Resume previous setting? Go to full brightness white? Stay off?
This is a programmable option. There are four options. 1) Remain off (disable power recovery); 2) Return to last setting; 3) Go to a predefined setting; 3b) If you toggle the power twice you can have it go to an alternate predefined setting.
Can WiZ lights operate independently of Wi-Fi?
Works without an Internet Connection: After pairing with the WiZ app, the WiZmote can locally control WiZ lights without an Internet Connection. The user-set room’s circadian rhythm will start when the “on” button is pressed.
WiZ bulbs are Bluetooth-enabled.
Even while the Bluetooth range is essentially limited to your room, it can still save you some time compared to connecting to the hub via Wi-Fi. WiZ does away with Zigbee entirely. WiZ smart lights, in contrast, establish a direct Wi-Fi connection with your router.

Why won’t my lights establish a Wi-Fi connection?
A 2.4 GHz network must be present for Wi-Fi to work. A 5 GHz network will not permit a connection from the Smart Wi-Fi Light. Verify that your phone is not running a VPN program in the background if your Smart Wi-Fi Light is already operating at the correct frequency.
Which app is necessary for my smart bulb?
You’ll need both the Google Home app and the bulb manufacturer’s app to configure Works with the Google Assistant lights. You might also require a hub or bridge from the bulb manufacturer. Check out the Google Assistant partners who produce compatible light bulbs.
Can I use a smart light offline?
Most Wi-Fi smart bulbs have backup Bluetooth technology, so even if the Wi-Fi or internet are down, your lights can still function.
Is a smart light compatible without a hub?
As the name implies, a no-hub smart bulb enables you to create a smart home without the need for a hub.
With the WiZ app, how many lights can you control?
The number of lights you can connect with WiZ depends on your router because WiZ uses Wi-Fi. In general, routers can accommodate up to 254 devices in total, including your laptops, TVs, and other devices.
My WiZ light is flashing; why?
If the lamp flashes red, your Wi-Fi password was likely entered incorrectly. If all goes well, the lamp should be found and appear in the application.
