Safety instructions
General safety instructions
CAUTION! Read all instructions, failure to do so may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury. The term “power tool” in all of the
following warnings refers to your power tool which is either mains-operated
(corded) or battery-operated (cordless).
Keep these instructions
- working area
- Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark rooms invite accidents.
- Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dusts. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away when operating a power tool. Distractions can make you lose control.
- Electrical safety
- he plugs of the power tools must match those of the socket. Do not modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed power tools. Non-adapted plugs and appropriate sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
- void physical contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water in an electrical appliance increases the risk of electric shock.
- Do not use the power cord inappropriately. Never use the cord to carry, pull or disconnect the power tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- When using an electrical appliance outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
- personal safety
- Stay alert. Be careful and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not operate the appliance when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment’s inattention when operating power tools can lead to serious personal injury.
- Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as a dust mask, safety shoes with non-slip soles, a helmet or hearing protection used under the right conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Make sure that the switch is in the off position before you plug in the power cord. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or connecting power tools with the switch on invites accidents.
- Remove any adjusting keys before turning on the power tool. A key left attached to a rotating part of the electrical device may cause personal injury.
- Do not stretch too far. Always remain standing and balanced. This allows for better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
- Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry; keep your hair, clothes and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair can get caught in moving parts.
- use and maintenance of power tools
- Do not force the tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The right power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate it is designed.
- Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be operated with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
- Disconnect the power supply before making any adjustments, changing accessories or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of the electrical device being started accidentally.
- Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
- Maintain the power tool, check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other conditions that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep the cutting tool sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
- use the power tool, accessories, tool bits, etc. in accordance with these operating instructions and in the manner prescribed for the respective type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be done. Using the power tool for purposes other than those for which it is intended can lead to dangerous situations.
- Service
- Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. Additional safety requirements for lawn
- Read the operating instructions carefully. Make sure you are familiar with the controls and correct use of the device.
- Never allow children to use the device.
- Never allow the appliance to be used by persons who are not familiar with these instructions. Local regulations may impose restrictions on the age of the user.
- Never operate the device when people, especially children, or pets are around.
- The operator or user is responsible for accidents or dangers that occur to other persons or their property.
- Always wear sturdy footwear and long trousers when operating the unit. Do not operate the appliance barefoot or with open sandals on.
- Thoroughly inspect the area where the unit will be used and remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones and other foreign objects.
- Before use, always visually check that the rotating parts and the cutter deck are not worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged parts in sets.
- Only use the unit in daylight or in good artificial lighting. If possible, avoid using the unit in wet grass. Always be sure of your feet on slopes. Always walk, never run. Always work across a slope, never up or down.
- Take extreme care when reversing or pulling the unit towards you.
- Do not use the device on steep slopes.
- Stop the rotating parts if the unit has to be tipped for transport. Do not use the cutter deck when driving over surfaces other than grass and when transporting the machine to and from the working area.
- Never operate the unit with defective guards or protective covers, or without safety devices, such as guards and/or catchers, fitted.
- Switch on the engine according to the instructions and with your feet well away from rotating parts.
- Do not tilt the unit when switching on the engine, except if the unit must be tilted for starting. In this case, do not tilt the unit more than is absolutely necessary and only lift the part which is away from the operator. Always ensure that both hands are in the operating position before placing the unit back on the ground. Do not place hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
- Never pick up or carry a device while the engine is running.
Pull the plug out of the socket
- Every time you leave the machine.
- Before clearing a blockage.
- After hitting a foreign object. Check the unit for damage and carry out repairs if necessary.
- If the unit starts to vibrate abnormally, check it immediately.
When the machine is working in dense brush or encounters obstacles that it cannot cut, the blade will come to a stop, increasing the machine temperature and flow. When the temperature rises too high or the current is too great, the overload protection device installed in the machine will automatically switch off the current to stop the machine (main purpose is to protect the motor and extend its service life). At this time, release the trigger and disconnect the machine from the power supply, let the machine cool down for some time (1~2 min) and then restart the switch, the machine can work again.
