USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using the appliance for the first time, you should proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material, also from the inside, and any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene, and cardboard) out of the reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport. Place the appliance on a sturdy, flat surface. Prior to using the machine for the first time please check whether the electricity and supply water specifications match the values indicated by the installation instructions for the appliance. Remove all packaging materials inside the machine. Fill the salt reservoir and fill up with water until it almost overflows. Set the water hardness setting. Fill the rinse aid reservoir.
FILLING THE SALT RESERVOIR
For a good washing result, the dishwasher needs soft, i.e. less calcareous water. Otherwise, white lime residues will remain on the dishes and the interior of the dishwasher. This has a negative effect on your appliance’s washing, drying, and shining performance. For this purpose, dishwasher salt is used.
- Remove the basket and unscrew the cap of the salt reservoir (1).
- Fill with salt till the overflow level, about 1.0 kg (2).
- Fill the reservoir before first use with water. It is normal for a little water to flow out of the opening when doing this.
- Screw the cap back on firmly.
ATTENTION
- Remove any spilled salt and run a full program to prevent corrosion to the bottom.
- Refill the salt reservoir when the indicator light of the salt reservoir lights up.
SETTING THE SALT CONSUMPTION
To find out the water hardness level in your area, contact your local water company. Adjust the salt consumption according to the table on the next page.
Note: Hardness level is adjusted to level 4 as a factory setting.
- Close the door and switch on the machine.
- Press and hold the Program button P for 5 seconds to enter the mode for setting the salt consumption. This must be set within 60 seconds after turning the machine on.
- Set the level by pressing Program button P repeatedly. Use the table of water hardness level settings.
- After adjusting the level of water hardness, press the On/Off button to confirm and store the setting. If the setting is not confirmed, it is stored automatically after 5 seconds.

FILLING WITH RINSE AID AND SETTING THE CONSUMPTION
Rinse aid is used to prevent traces of water droplets from being left on the clean dishes. It also increases the drying performance, since the water drains off more easily. Only use rinse aid which is designed for use in dishwashers.
-
The rinse aid reservoir is located on the inside of the door, alongside the detergent reservoir.
-
Unscrew the cap of the rinse aid reservoir (1).
-
Fill the rinse aid reservoir until the rinse aid level indicator turns dark (2).

-
Replace the cap and make sure it lines up with the indication marks (3).
-
The rinse aid level can be adjusted between setting 1 and 6. The factory setting for rinse aid is level 4.
-
Unscrew the cap and use a large screwdriver to set the correct level (3). You need to increase the level of rinse aid when water stains form on your dishes after a wash program.
-
Decrease it when strips or blue stains form on the dishes. Keep adjusting the level until the dishes are streak-free when you take them out of the dishwasher.
Attention!
- Refill the rinse aid reservoir when the rinse aid indicator lights up.
- Do not overfill the rinse aid reservoir. The reservoir will overflow.
- Spilled rinse aid must be cleaned up. Otherwise, they may lead to leakage as a result of extreme foaming.
DISHWASHER DETERGENTS
Use a detergent specifically designed for use in domestic dishwashers. You can find it in powder, gel capsules and tablets. Detergent must be placed into the reservoir before starting the dishwasher. Keep the detergents stored in a cool, dry place and out of reach of children. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately and take the packaging with you. Do not fill more detergent than required in the reservoir; otherwise, it may cause scratches on your glasses as well as lead to a poorly dissolved detergent.
- Push the latch (1) to open the detergent reservoir. The detergent reservoir has level lines inside. It is possible to measure the right amount of detergent using these lines.
- Fill the large compartment (2a) with detergent powder or a detergent tablet. Pour a small amount of detergent powder in the small pre-wash compartment (2b) when there are dried food wastes in the dishes and when the dishwasher is overly loaded.
- Close the lid, close the door and start the dishwasher.
- Depending on the water hardness and the amount of dirt on the dishes add extra detergent.
- Do not fill detergent into the dispenser until you are ready to start the dishwasher.
Detergent manufacturers also produce combined detergents called 2-in-1, 3-in-1, 5-in-1 etc. Generally, combined detergents produce sufficient results under certain usage conditions only. Observe the instructions on packaging when using a combined product. Never put the detergent tablet into the interior section or in the cutlery basket of the dishwasher. Always put the tablet into the detergent reservoir. When using short wash cycles it is possible the tablet does not dissolve fully. Therefore use detergent tablets only in combination with a long wash cycle, so that the detergent tablet has time to fully dissolve.
LOADING YOUR DISHWASHER
Properly placing your dishes into the dishwasher has a positive effect on energy consumption and washing and drying performance. Remove larger food residues from the dirty dishes. It is not necessary to rinse the dirty dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. The basket is for cups and saucers, mugs, bowls, plates, and glasses. Items such as cups, glasses, pots and pans must be placed in the basket with the opening facing down. The maximum diameter of plates that fit in the basket is 26 cm. Wine glasses and long-stem glasses must be placed against the edge of the basket, rack or glass supporter wire and not against other items. Long, small cooking utensils, such as wooden spoons, should be placed lying down in the middle of the upper basket.
The cutlery basket is designed for cutlery. Sharp items of cutlery, such as knives and forks should be placed with their sharp points facing down. Place the cutlery piece by piece in a compartment to ensure the spray arms can reach every part.
WARNING
- do not let any item extend through the bottom of the basket.
- place your dishes into your dishwasher in a way that they will not prevent the spray arm from spinning.

- The duration of the program can vary on the basis of the amount of dishes, the water temperature, the ambient temperature and the selected extra functions, except in case of the ECO program.
- The eco program is suitable to clean normally soiled dishes. It is the most efficient program because of the combined energy and water consumption and it complies with the EU ecodesign legislation.
NOTE: The energy consumption values of the eco-program can differ according to regulations 10/16/2010 and 1059/2010. The table complies with regulations 2019/2022 and 2017/2022.
- When the appliance is used according to the instructions of the manufacturer, washing dishes in a household dishwasher usually consumes less energy and water during the use phase compared to hand-washing dishes.
- Short programs do not include drying.
- Only use powder detergent when you choose a short program.
- To assist drying, we recommend opening the door 15 cm after a cycle is complete.
SAVING ENERGY
- Pre-rinsing of tableware items leads to increased water and energy consumption and is not recommended.
- Washing tableware in a household dishwasher usually consumes less energy and water in the use phase than hand dishwashing when the household dishwasher is used according to the instructions.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Cleaning the dishwasher regularly, prolongs the dishwasher’s service life.
- Check before cleaning the dishwasher if it’s is turned off. Unplug the dishwasher and turn off the tap.
- Clean the outside of the dishwasher with a damp cloth. To prevent odors from forming within the dishwasher, clean the seals of the door regularly with a soft damp cloth.
- To prevent the dishwasher from getting clogged, we advise to clean the dishwasher regularly with a special cleanser.
- Fill the detergent reservoir with detergant, select a cycle with a high temperature and start the program. If this is insufficient, use a special cleanser for dishwasher and follow the instructions on the packaging.
- Clean the filters and the spray arm once a week.
CLEANING THE FILTERS
Check once a week if there is any residue on the filters. Remove the filters and clean them thoroughly under the water tap. The filter system consist of three components:
- sieve (A)
- filter – fine (B)
- filter – coarse (C)
- Do not use the dishwasher when there are no filters in place.
- Incorrect fitting of one the filters will result in the dishwasher no longer delivering maximum performance.
- Make sure the filters are clean. This ensures proper functioning of the dishwasher.
CLEANING THE SPRAY ARM
- Check the nozzles of the spray arm regularly for waste. Waste can block the nozzles and bearing in the spray arm. Remove the clogging in the spray arm and clean them with warm water.
- Remove the spray arm by pulling it upwards.
- Clean the spray arm with warm water.
- Make sure the spray arm is perfectly locked when refitting the spray arm.
CLEANING THE DRAIN PUMP
- Large food residues or foreign objects which were not captured by the filters may block the waste water pump. The rinsing water will then be above the filter.
Warning Risk of cuts: When cleaning the waste water pump, ensure that you do not injure yourself on pieces of broken glass or pointed implements.
- First always disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Take out the basket.
- Remove the filters.
- Scoop out the water, use a sponge or cloth if required.
- Check the area and remove any foreign objects.
- Install the filters.
PLACING THE DISHWASHER
Position the appliance in the desired location. Make sure the location is solid and flat. The dishwasher is equipped with a water supply and drain hoses that can be positioned either to the right or the left sides to facilitate proper installation.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Ensure the voltage and frequency of the power corresponds to those on the rating label. Only insert the plug into an electrical socket that is earthed properly. Use the required fuse 16 amp.
COLD WATER CONNECTION
Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded 3/4 (inch) connector and make
sure that it is fastened tightly in place.
If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extended period of
time, let the water run to make sure that the water is clear. This precaution
is needed to avoid the risk of the water inlet being blocked and damaging the
appliance.
Attention: the dishwasher can not be connected to a warm water supply.
DRAIN HOSE CONNECTION
Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 40 mm, or let it run into the sink, making sure to avoid bending or crimping it. The top of the hose must be less than 600 mm.
IS THE DISHWASHER READY FOR USE?
- The dishwasher is level and fixed properly.
- The inlet valve is open.
- The fill hose connections are fully tightened and not leaking.
- The appliance is plugged in.
- The drain hose is properly placed.
- All packing materials and printings should be taken out of the dishwasher.
