CAREFULLY BEFORE USE

Introduction

Foldable four-wheel rollator, equipped with lockable brakes, allow for navigating any surface; anatomically fitted handles from polyethylene: frame made of aluminium aerofoil sections protected by a non-toxic paint partially anodized.

Use

Rehabilitation supports are an ancillary equipment to facilitate tilting and moving of patients with different types of motor disorders. They can be used as an aid for patients after surgery (lower limbs) who are unable to use crutches, showing no coordination disorders, patients with mild dysfunction of the lower limbs or weakness. They are used in patients with in patients with impaired balance preventing them from independent vertical position and locomotion, as well as various types of circulatory dysfunction (e.g. intermittent claudication). Supports can also be used as an aid for geriatric patients.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the upright position, injuries and dysfunctions of upper limbs preventing the patient from supporting themselves, impaired coordination and perception.

  • The product is packed In folder position.
  • After unpacking the package, check if it contains all parts in accordance with the list of elements set out above.
  • Ensure that all components have no visible damage. If any doubts, please contact the manufacturer.
  • Do not use the rollator until all parts are properly connected.
  • Unfolding rollator should begin unfolded anchor hinge by pressing both hand seat frame till the moment when You can hear a click. (Illustration 6 .)

  • Then unscrew the screws attaching the shoulder of the rear wheels. Lower the rear wheels so that you can tighten the screws in the holes of the
    arms of wheels. Make sure that the screws are correct screwed in.

  • Then unscrew the screws attaching the shoulder of the tront wheels. Lower the front wheels so that you can tighten the screws in the holes of the arms of wheels. Make sure that the screws are correct screwed in.

  • Bag for small items should be attached with velcro to the rollator side frames.

Safety of use

WARNING!

  • Before using the rollator, refer to this manual and keep it for future reference.
  • At standstill and the use of seat should apply the locking rotation of the wheels both rear wheels.
  • The stand will not replace the wheelchair, the seat is used only for temporary resting or transport the patient on a short distance.
  • The rollaror is used only to provide rest to one user. Do not stand on it.
  • The rollator should be used on even surfaces at an incline less than 5%.
  • With the rollator you can only use on surfaces where all four wheels touching the ground are to use all of four wheels.
  • Use of the product on the icy, wet, greasy, strongly gritty surfaces is unacceptable – it creates a risk of falling.
  • Before each use of this product:
    • Perform visual inspection of all structural components of the product,
    • Check the operation of the braking system. Squeeze the brake handles to see if the brake pads are fit properly to wheels and are able to stop rollator. Press the handles down to activate the parking brake and check if it works properly.
    • Carefully check the stability and condition of the support frame.
  • Do not use the support in the event of any visible or perceptible damage (e.g. cracks in the frame). It may cause an accident.
  • The rollaror is designed for users with a maximum weight of 136 kg.
  • Maximum weight that can be moved in the bag- 1,5 kg.
  • Do not leave the stroller with the user close to open sources of fire.
  • Be aware that the surface temperature of the upholstery and the frame parts may be increased after exposure to the sun or other heat source. Furthermore, with low temperatures there is a danger of overcooling metal parts of stroller. It may cause burns or frostbite parts of the body.
  • All repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel. And during the warranty period only by the manufacturer’s service.
  • Do not exceed the maximum height of the handles to push, rollator will lose stability.
  • Push the rollator with both hands simultaneously in the direction of travel.
  • Before using, make sure that all screws are tight.
  • Make sure that the Levels hinge of stretch securing before submitting rollator, work properly.
  • Due to the possibility of jamming the fingers put extreme caution in the area of horizontal hinge strut, fold-out footrest and side frame hinge.

Everyday use and maintenance

HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT HANDLES.

  • Handles should be located at a height that will provide comfort and a sense of security for the user. It is important to ensure that both hands are positioned at the same height.

  • To change the height of the handles, press the pin located on the frame and, depending on the needs extend or retract the frame handles.
  • After adjusting the correct height, the pin should appear in one of the holes of regulation. At this point should be audible click.

FOLDED:

  • To facilitate the transport, the rollator can be folded.
  • Pull the handle located in the middle of the seat, causing the fold of the rollator cross frame .

  • Additionally, you can reduce the size of the rollator by folding wheels arms.
  • it is necessary to unscrew the screws fixing the wheel arm, raising the arms to the position shown in illustration 9.
  • Tighten screw without wheels arm. Make sure the screws are screwed in.

BRAKE SYSTEM

  • The rollator is equipped with multi-functional brake. The brake handle is located under the rollator handle. It can operate as a standard brake as well as parking brake
  • To use the standard brake, lift up the brake handle.
  • To use a parking brake, push down the brake handle to the point where you can hear the distinctive sound of inclusion brake (You should use in that same time both the right and left brake).
  • You should use in that same time both the right and left brake.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES (THRESHOLD, CURBS)

  • In order to drive the rollator onto the threshold or curb should set the rollator perpendicularly to the edge of the obstacle. Holding the handle, tilt the rollator in rear and lightly keep by the foot one of the footer located at the rear wheel, which will raise the front wheels up.
  • drive the rear wheels to the edge of the obstacle and holding the rollator handle, lift slightly up and enter rollator on the obstacle.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the frame with a damp cloth, clean the seat with damp cloth with mild detergent.
  • Remove all soiling from the movable components of the support (wheels, clamping screws, locks).
  • In order to maintain the walker’s parameters, it is very important to keep all elements clean and stored properly. Storing the walker in damp places (baths, laundry rooms, etc.) or outdoors, combined with lack of hygiene will quickly degrade the performance and aesthetic of the walker.
  • Do not expose the wheelchair on to extreme weather conditions (rain, snow very strong sun), because certain parts can change color.

You must not use:

  • solvents,
  • toilet detergents,
  • sharp brushes and hard objects,
  • detergents that contain chlorine,
  • corrosive detergents,

Do not clean the rollator with pressure or steam aggregates!

TECHNICAL REVIEW
The review should be carried out regularly, it should be preceded by thorough cleaning the rollator (so as to reveal any hidden damage).
