MEYRA Qmed AFO-NIGHT Foot Drop Orthosis
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
AFO-NIGHT is a foot-drop orthosis of wide therapeutic use. It helps treatment and rehabilitation of ankle joint injuries and dysfunctions. Its construction ensures very good stabilisation and allows to regulate the plantar and dorsal bend of the foot. Stabilising straps allow the proper adjustment of the orthosis.
INDICATIONS:
- AFO-NIGHT corrects feet position to the shin from medial position to dorsal bend of the foot, prevents contractures in lying patients with hemiplegia, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy,
- It provides protection of dropping foot and prepares to verticalisation and locomotion.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AFO-NIGHT has removable lining made of velour knitted fabric and foam. It is equipped with two stabilisation stripes and stiff lateral Velcro bands which allow to regulate the pressure strength and the angle of feet position to the shin. Additionally, the removable wedge placed under the toes improves angle control. Available in one, universal size, for left and right lower limb.
PUTTING ON
- Unfasten the stabilisation stripes.
- Put the foot so that its rear part adheres the orthosis.
- Fasten the stabilisation bands.
- In case of need, remove the wedge and regulate the angle.
MAINTENANCE
Do not use brush while cleaning. Wash only the lining. Clean the orthosis with wet cloth.
ATTENTION! Not observing the rules of personal hygiene and washing the product with inappropriate detergents may result in skin abrasion or other discomfort related to perspiration and spread of bacteria. Please do not use the product together with warming ointment or gel. After washing, rinse the product carefully – residue detergent left in the product may cause skin vexation and damage of the orthosis fabric.
