Before Usage

  1. The intended use of hearing aids is to amplify and transmit sound to the ears and hereby com­pensate for impaired hearing. The hearing aids must only be used by the intended person. They should not be used by any other person as they could damage hearing.
  2. LINNER nova hearing aids are designed for people with moderate – severe hearing loss. if your hearing situation is not in this range, this device might not work 7 00% as intended.
  3. lf it is first time you use hearing aids. it is recom­mended that you start with low volume and then increase volume slowly in next 7 days, which allows your ears adapt to the hearing enhance­ment of hearing aids.
  4. lt is recommended that you take a hearing test with LINNER HA App. and fit your hearing aids with your hearing test result.
  5. Hearing aids will not restore normal hearing and will not prevent or improve a hearing impairment resulting from organic conditions. Infrequent use of a hearing aids does not permit a user to attain full benefit from it. The use of a hearing aids is only part of hearing habilitation and may need to be supplemented by auditory training and lip read­ing.

Important Safety Information

  1. .Changes or modifications to the hearing aids that were not explicitly approved by LINNER are not permitted. Such changes may damage your ear or the hearing aids.
  2. Do not use the hearing aids in explosive areas or exposed to extreme heat.
  3. The hearing aids contain small parts that can cause choking, if swallowed by children. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, consult a physician or hospital immdiately.
  4. This device is not water-proof. don’t wear during shower or swimming.

Indications for Use

LINNER Nova is a wireless, air-conduction hearing aids which is suitable for up to severe sensorineural hearing loss. It is intended for home and outdoor, adult use only.

Contraindications

  • Congenital atresia of the external ear or malformation of the external auditory canal, with a large number of foreign bodies in the external auditory canal:
  • Unstable deafness, degree of hearing loss;
  • The main complaint is accompanied by headache, dizziness, ear pain, tinnitus and other symptoms of discomfort;
  • Sudden deafness in the past3 months, progressive rapid deafness, obvious unilateral deafness or other acute ear diseases at the same time “Middle ear effusion with frequent pus; Central deafness, non-organic deafness;
  • Patients with acute otitis externa, myringitis Patients with acute and chronic purulent otitis media; Patients who are allergic to the material of this product:

CAUTION

  • Not used in oxygen-rich environments, not intended for use with flammable anesthetics, not intended for use in conjunction with flammable agents
  • It is not allowed for untrained person to change lithium battery which might cause a dangerous situation:
  • It is not allowed to repair or maintain product when in use:
  • The patient is an intended operator;
  • The device contains sensitive electronic components. To avoid electronic interface, avoid using the device near a strong electromagnetic field radiated interface singnal or electrical fast transient/burst signal
  • When product reaches the expected lifetime, please contact seller for instruction;
  • Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the manufacturer
  • When you are having issues using the product, contact the manufacturer or representative of the manufacturer:
  • When the performance of the device changes, contact manufacturer for instruction;
  • Do not expose the device to the environment that exceeds specification:
  • If you have potential allergic reactions towards the material. please contact manufacturer;
  • Using accessories that not mentioned in the manual might cause unforseeable damage to the device:

  • If the IR sensor fails, the in-ear detection function will not work:
  • Identify any known side effects associated with hearing aid use (which may require consultation with a doctor), for example, accumulated earwax:
  • Please examine the device firstly if you use hearing aids where electric or wireless device is limited:
  • Falling. immerse in liquid, strong magnetic field and over-heat may damage the hearing aids;
  • The eartips might remain in the ear, in this case take them out carefully or consult a doctor
  • Lithium battery might cause unforseeable harzard including explosion, fire, leakage, please contact manufacturer immediately:
  • The charger should meet IEC 60601-1 standard and satisfy 2 MOPP isolation requirement.

UV-C lamp Classfication

Charging

  • Put hearing aids into charging case and close lid. the charging case will charge hearing aids automatically.
  • Connect charging case to any active charging port with included charging cable. or place on a wireless charger(not included in packaging).

Wearing

Choose suitable ear tips out of 4 sizes  and put them in hearing aids.
Put on hearing aids. make sure they stay firmly in your ear.
Adjust the position of hearing aids in your ear until you feel comfortable.

Power on/off

Power On

Open lid and take out hearing aids. hearing aids will power on automatically .

Power Off

  • Put hearing aids back into charging case and close lid. hearing aids will power off automati­cally.
  • You could also manually power on/off hearing aids by long pressing Volume+ button.

Hearing enhancement

Enhance world volume

After you put on hearing aids. they will enhance world volume automatically.

Adjust world volume

You could adjust world volume by pressing volume+ or volume – buttons. the default volume isS. you could slowly increase or decrease volume until you hear comfortable and clear.

Left and right ear volume adjustment

You could adjust left and right ear volume separately to get a balanced stereo hearing experience. this feature is for people with different hearing loss in binaural ears.

Solo/Dual hearing aids usage

You could use single hearing aid to focus on a directional sound or dual hearing aids to restore the real world.

Bluetooth connection

Bluetooth initial pairing

After power on. hearing aids will enter Blue­tooth pairing automatically. Search “LINNER Nova· in your phone’s Bluetooth list and click to connect.

Auto re-connect

Each time you power on after initial pairing. hearing aids will auto re- connect to last connected device.

Pair a new device

If you want to pair a new device. you need to firstly disconnnect or disable Bluetooth function on your previous device. Then hearing aids will enter pairing mode. you could search and connect to your new device.

Restore factory settings

If your hearing aids fail to connect. you could restore factory settings by placing hearing aids in charging case. keep the lid open. then press charging case’s button for l O seconds. charging case will blink orange 3 times indicating. reset is completed..

UV-C Lamp LINNER

  • Nova’s charging case has built-in UV-C lamp, after you put your hearing aids back into charging case, UV-C lamp will turn on automatically and starts sterilizing hear- ing aids.
  • The sterilization lasts 1 minute, it is recom- mended that not to use hearing buds until after sterilization is done.
  • UV-C lamp ultilizes 280nm wavelength light Relative Radiant Flux is 1.50E-04 Forward Voltage is 6.5V Viewing Angle is 120 Radiant Flux is 5mW

CAUTION

Do not expose UV-C lamp to human eyes for long time!

Product Maintainance

Protect your hearing aids from dirt and oil

Try to make sure that your fingers are clean and dry before handling your hearing aids. The microphone input is very small and can become blocked by dirt and oil from your fingers.

Protect your hearing aids from moisture

Moisture will kill your hearing aids, make sure you remove your hearing aids before shower­ing bathing or swimming. When you are showering, don’t leave the hearing aids in the bathroom. At night, make sure you leave the hearing aids in a dry environment. It is worth­while using a drying kit.

Keep the hearing aids away from children and pets

Make sure you keep your hearing aids out of the reach of children and pets. Hearing aids that are lying on a counter that emits a high-frequency noise that might attract dogs. You have no idea how many times I have seen hearing aids eaten by dogs.

Avoid contact with hairspray or make-up

If you use powder makeup or hairspray you should make sure that you remove your hearing aids before applying them. The fine particles of hairspray or powder make-up may clog the microphone input and volume control switch.

Connect

Set Up

Power on Slide povwer button to left to power on device, power LED indicates current battery status

Pair

Make sure LINNERNova and LINNERConnect are close to each other.
After power on, LINNERCOnnect will try to connect to Linner Nova automatically. pairing LED flashes to indicate pairing and solid to indicate paired.

Note: LINNER Connect will only pair when LINNER Nova is not connected with other Bluetooth device.

Sound Source

After connected. you will only hear sound from Linner Connect in your hearing buds, you could choose either sound source below. the LED will light on to show which mode you are using.

  2. Wireless Mic mode

TV Mode

  1. Connect TV and LINNER CONNECT with AUX cable fA
  2. TV’s setting. select Heaset as Speaker;
  3. AUX LED will light up on LINNER CONNECT;
  4. TV audio will stream to hearing aids directly;

Wireless Mic Mode

  • Place LINNER COnnect where you want to hear from:
  • Make sure Mic is towarded to sound source and not covered:
  • MIC LED will light up on LINNER Connect
  • You could hear sound from LINNER COnnect in your hearing buds;
