SONOS One SL Wireless Smart Speaker Black
Product Information: One SL
The One SL is an essential speaker designed for music lovers. It can be placed on shelves, counters, and snug spaces, or mounted to a wall, ceiling, or speaker stand. This speaker comes with touch controls that allow you to adjust volume, play and pause, or skip through songs. You can pair two Sonos One SLs for left-right stereo sound or use two Sonos One SLs as rear surrounds for your home theater. You can control your Sonos system with the Sonos S2 app available for Android and iOS devices.
Controls and Lights
The One SL comes with touch controls that let you adjust the volume, play
and pause, or skip through songs. The volume control is on the right, and the
play/pause and next/previous buttons are on the left. You can quickly change
the volume by pressing and holding the volume control. You can add the audio
playing in another room by pressing and holding the play/pause button. You can
skip to the next song by swiping right and go to the previous song by swiping
left. The status light displays the product’s connection to WiFi, indicates
when the volume is muted, and signals errors.
Connector Panel
The connector panel of the One SL has a join button to connect to your
Sonos system during setup. It also has an Ethernet port that allows you to
connect to a router, computer, o network-attached storage (NAS) device
(optional). The AC power (mains) input is for powering the speaker.
Select a Location
The One SL can be placed just about anywhere. To ensure maximum
performance, it is recommended to leave at least 1 (2.5 cm) space around the
back of the speaker. The One SL is humidity-resistant, so it can be used in
the bathroom. However, it is not water-resistant, so it should not be placed
near water or left in the rain.
Set up Stereo Pair
You can pair two Sonos One SLs in the same room for an even wider, stereo
experience. One speaker serves as the left channel, and one serves as the
right channel. To set up a stereo pair:
- Place the speakers 8 to 10 feet apart. Your favorite listening position should be 8 to 12 feet from the paired speakers–less distance increases bass, more distance improves stereo imaging.
- Go to System.
- Select one of the speakers you want to use in the stereo pair, then choose Set Up Stereo Pair to get started.
Set up Surrounds
You can turn two Sonos speakers (same model), or a Sonos Amp and your
favorite non-Sonos speakers, into separate right and left channels for your
home theater. To set up surrounds:
- Place each surround speaker about 10 ft from your favorite listening position, angling them toward the seating area.
- Go to System.
- Select a room with a soundbar and choose Add Surrounds to get started.
Surround Audio Settings
The surround audio settings can be adjusted in the Sonos S2 app.
Product Usage Instructions
To use the One SL speaker:
