Installation

  1. Insert memory card

Insert a microSD memory card into the memory card slot located on the right side of the LCD screen. Be aware of the orientation shown in the picture located on the right. (Electrical contacts of the memory card should be facing the LCD display side of the camera, with the notches of microSD card facing up.) When the memory card is successfully inserted, you will hear a ‘clicking’ sound.
**A Class 10, 8GB or above microSD memory card is required. The camera supports up to 128GB of memory capacity. (Memory card not included.)

  2. Attach mount to camera

Align and position the 3M mount plate with the groved notch located at the top of the camera, slot into the groove and slide it up. Ensure the mount is securely attached before installing camera.

  3. Remove Lens Protection Film (Front)

Before installing the camera onto the windshield, remove the Protection Film from the Front Camera’s lens. For best video recording results, please try to avoid touching the camera lens with fingers, as fingerprints and/or oil may degrade image quality.

  4. Install the front camera

Find a suitable location on your windshield to install the camera. We recommend placing the camera behind the rear view mirror while not obstructing your view when driving.
Clean the windshield using water or alcohol and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth before installing.
Peel off the protection film from the 3M pad. Ensure the camera is leveled. Push down the 3M mount plate firmly to the windshield. After that, the camera is securely mounted on the windshield.

  5. Remove Lens Protection Film (Rear)

Remove the Protection film from the Rear Camera’s lens. For best video recording results, please avoid touching the camera lens with fingers, as fingerprints and/or oil may degrade image quality.

  6. Install the rear camera

Locate a suitable position on your rear windshield to install the rear camera. We recommend placing the camera at the top-centered position for the best results.
Clean the rear windshield using water or alcohol, and wipe clean with a lint- free cloth.
Peel off the protection film from the 3M adhesive pad and attach the mount on the rear windshield.

  7. Connect Dual Channel Cable

The dual channel cable consists of 2 separate plugs. Connect the angled mini USB male plug into mini USB female plug on the top left of the front camera.

  8. Connect GPS module+ Power Cable

  9. Connect the micro-USB charging cable into the GPS module.

  10. Connect the GPS module into the dashcam micro-USB port on the right handed side.

  11. Clean the windshield using water or alcohol, and wipe clean with a link free cloth.
Peel off the protection film from 3M adhesive pad and attach the GPS module to the windshield.

  12. Insert the charging cable and car power adapter into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter port.

  13. Connect Rear Camera Cable

Connect the angled mini-USB male plug of the Dual Channel cable into the Rear Camera’s mini-USB port

  14. Organize the wires

Hide the power cable by tucking the cable into the space between the seams of the vehicle headliner and the top of the windshield. Route the power cable down from one side of the windshield along the A pillar trim and route the Rear Camera cable down from the other side of the vehicle. We recommend routing the cables on separate sides due to the thickness of the wires if routed together.
    Professional installation is recommended.

  15. Connect Power Adapter

Power ON the camera by starting your vehicle. The camera will automatically power on upon receiving power from the cigarette lighter port. After the initial setup, use the live view on the LCD screen to adjust the camera angle and settings.
Please ensure vehicle is started and running in a well ventilated space.

FAQ

What happens when my memory card is full?****

The RSC du Duo e1 allows its user to configure the length of each video segment (Available intervals are at 1, 3, and 5 minutes) When the memory card is full, the earlier recorded videos will be overwritten, except for those which are protected by a manual file lock or G-Sensor Emergency lock.

What kind of memory card can I use with the dash cam?****

The dashcam requires a microSDHC/microSDXC memory card with a minimum rated speed of Class 10 / UHS-1 or above. The following SD card brands have been tested and are compatible with our cameras: ADATA, Kingston, Patriot, and Transcend (8GB-64GB max and must be rated class 10 or higher). Others may work, however, these are the brands we have tested extensively in-house.

Incompatible Cards****

We are unable to recommend SanDisk or Samsung branded memory cards because after a short period of time they often become incompatible and cause disruption in the operation of the dashcam.

I cannot insert the MicroSD card.****

MicroSD card are very small and require delicate use. Align the card with the diagram shown on the dash camera and insert the card until you feel a slight spring resistance. You then need to push the card using your finger nail until you hear a click sound and feel a small latch. Release pressure and the card will stay retained within the device. Use the edge of a small coin if you have difficulty.

I cannot remove the MicroSD card.****

With the card previously installed, you now need to push the card further inwards slightly, using your finger nail, until you hear and feel a small latch. Use the edge of a small coin if you have difficulty. Release pressure and the card will spring out sufficiently for you to take hold of it.

I get the message “Check SD Card” on screen.****

The SD card has been formatted in another device and the Cluster Size is not compatible. There may also be an error on the card. Use the Setup option to re-format the SD card from within the Dash Cam. If error message still show, change a new SD card.

I get the message “Memory Card Full” on screen.****

The SD card has become full as there may be too many protected files which will not be deleted to allow for further recording to take place. Delete unnecessary files or perform a full FORMAT upon the SD card from within the camera’s Setup Menu.

Mass Storage function does not work.****

The Mass storage function will work on both Windows and Mac. Restart the PC, as this may be required for the necessary driver to be loaded correctly. Disconnect and reconnect the Dash Cam.

Video Image is blurred.****

Please remove the protective lens cover (if it is not yet removed), clean the camera lens using a soft cloth, and cleaning the windshield may improve video image quality.

Video has no sound.****

Ensure that “Audio Recording” setting is turned ON within the Settings.

The front camera feels very hot. Is this normal?****

Due to the camera’s metal construction, the camera may be hot to touch after a prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Please pay extra attention when touching the front camera during hot weather season.
