TOOLS LIST
- 2 post lift, or Floor Jacks
- Trim removal tool kit
- 7mm socket
- 10mm socket
- 4mm Allen Key / Socket
- T15 Torx Bit / Socket
- 22mm deep well socket
- 1/2 inch breaker bar or impact wrench
- Torque Wrench (140 ft-Ibs)
- Torque Wrench (15 in-Ins 10nm)
- Optional: Small rolling stool ~24″ high or similar to place bumper on temporarily
- Optional: Body Stand
- Optional: Gummy Wheel
- Optional: Degreaser (we use Gyeon Prep)
PARTS & HARDWARE LIST
Please double check to ensure you have all the required components and hardware before you begin installation
- 2x Outer Stanchions
- 2x Inner Stanchions
- 1x Evolution Wing Blade
- 2x End Plates
- 6x M6x20 Allen Screws
- 6x M6 Washers
STEP 1
Remove rear wheels. Front wheels do not need to be removed. Consult owner’s
manual to locate the proper lift points for your C8. Optional: Tape seams
between quarter panel and bumper to protect paint
Tools: 22mm Socket, Breaker Bar, C8 Jacking Pucks (recommended)
Repeat on opposite side
STEP 2
Remove 7mm fastener from bottom of rear mudflap. Separate the mud flap from
bumper starting at the bottom edge and working up and forward
Tools: 7mm socket
Repeat on opposite side
STEP 3
Remove 7mm & T15 Torx screws securing the aft half of the wheel liner Pull
wheel liner forward to expose 1x 10mm nut and 2x 7mm nuts securing quarter
panel to bumper cover The entire fender liner does not need to be removed.
Tools: 7mm socket & T15 torx bit
Repeat on opposite side
STEP 4
Remove the nuts securing bumper to quarter panel
Tools: 10mm & 7mm hex head sockets
Repeat on opposite side
STEP 5
Remove 4x T15 torx fasteners located under each side of the exhaust (2 per
side)
Tools: T15 torx bit
Repeat on opposite side
STEP 6
Remove the 11x 7mm hex head screws securing the undertray
Tools: 7mm socket
STEP 7
Remove the 2x push rivets in the lower diffuser trim to release & remove lower
diffuser trim
Tools: Trim removal tool
STEP 8
Remove the remaining push rivets in the undertray section to release and
remove undertray
Tools: Trim Removal Tool
STEP 9
Open decklid and remove 16x T15 torx fasteners from the bumper (fasteners
locations circled in orange)
Tools: T15 torx bit
STEP 10
CAUTION: Bumper sensor connections are fragile! Do not separate bumper
more than 6-8 inches prior to disconnecting them Grab a helper (or two) and
separate bumper cover from car about 6-8 inches horizontally We use a rolling
shop stool to delicately stabilize the bumper
CONNECTION LOCATIONS
Passenger Side:
- 1 White
- 1 Black
Driver Side:
- 1 Black
CONNECTION RELEASE
To disconnect each electrical connection you will first slide the red safety tab back to release the rocker. Press down on rocker to lift opposite side and disengage the teeth securing the connection. Once pushed down and opposite side raised you can separate the connections safely
STEP 11
Disconnect all three electrical connections and separate the rear bumper from
the vehicle
STEP 12
Disconnect the tail lamp electrical connection and remove the push rivet
holding the wire from the tail lamp housing, repeat on opposite side.
Disconnect the brake light electrical connection.

STEP 13
- Remove the 5x 7mm head head screws securing the brake light and remove the brake light from the bumper cover.
- Remove the 6x 7mm hex head screws securing the tail lamp. Remove tail lamp from the bumper cover.
- Repeat on opposite tail lamp.
All three lights should now be removed.

STEP 14
- Remove the 2x 10mm bolts from each end of the stock Z-51 rear spoiler Z(4x total).
- Remove the 2x 10mm bolts from the spoiler (above brake light area)

STEP 15
Refit the bumper cover to the car and secure with 6-8x T15 torx screws along
the top edge

STEP 16
- Use trim removal tool of your choice or other items such as fishline. We prefer these sacrificial trim removal tools, to separate the spoiler from the adhesive holding it to the bumper.
- Separate rear spoiler from the bumper cover

STEP 17
Use a gummy wheel or alternative tool of your choice to remove the excess
adhesive. Wipe down with Prep or degreaser to remove any residue
Tools: Gummy Wheel, Gyeon Prep or safe adhesive remover
STEP 18
- Have a helper help align the wing with the hole locations in the bumper cover.
- Grab 4x M6x20 screws and 4x washers and hand thread the screws into the outer stanchions from the void left by the tail lamps.
Tools: 4mm Allen Key, 4x M6x20 Screws, 4x M6 Washers
STEP 19
Remove the bumper cover from the car and place on a body stand with the tail
lamps down

STEP 20
- Install the 2x M6x20 screws in the center stanchions with the 4mm allen socket
- Torque the 6x M6 screws to 15 in-Ibs or 10nm
Tools: 2x M6x20 Screws, 2x M6 Washers, Torque Wrench, 4mm Allen Key socket
STEP 20
- Reinstall the tail lamps and the 6x M7 hex head screws to secure each one.
- Reinstall the push rivet for the electrical connection
- Plug-In Electrical Connection for each light (make sure connection is secure)
Tools: 7mm hex head socket
STEP 21
- Reinstall the brake light and the 5x M7 hex head screws that secure it
- Plug in electrical connection

STEP 22
Position bumper cover about 6-8 inches from the rear of car and plug in the
three electrical connectors circled in orange (1 large white, 1 small back and
1 large black) Tools: An assistant to hold bumper over
STEP 23
Align bumper cover and push into place

OPTIONAL STEP
With bumper on car re-install the 2x T15 at each corner of the bumper and 2x
T15 in the middle holes to temporarily secure bumper cover. Then ensuring the
vehicle is stabilized or on all 4 wheels, briefly start the car to ensure
there are no errors from the electrical sensors or parking sensors. It’s much
easier to check the connections now than after you have finished reinstalling
the entire bumper.
STEP 24
Double check bumper cover seams are aligned correctly and reinstall the 16x
T15 torx fasteners (fasteners locations circled in orange)
Tools: T15 torx bit
STEP 25
Pull wheel liner back. Reinstall the 10mm nut & 2x 7mm fasteners securing
bumper to rear quarter panel.
Tools: 7mm socket, 10mm deep well socket
STEP 25
Reinstall the T15 fasteners into the wheel liner.
Tools: T15 Torx bit
STEP 26
Reinstall rear mud flaps by pushing clips into slots working from top to
bottom. Then reinstall the 3x 7mm fasteners in the wheel liner on each side of
the vehicle
Tools: 7mm socket
STEP 27
Install undertray by reinstalling the 8x 7mm fasteners Next reinstall the push
rivets, noting only 2 of the 3 push rivets are re-used due to the shape
changes of the ST Diffuser the middle one will not engage
Tools: 7mm socket and T15 torx bit
STEP 28
Reinstall wheels, tighten wheel nuts and lower car. The suggested torque spec
at the time this manual was written was 140ft Ibs. Double check owner’s manual
or ensure the Torque Spec for your vehicle is the same.
Tools: 22mm socket, torque wrench and jacking pucks
