Correct use

This product is designed for private use as a harness for dogs with a chest circumference of approx. 34–36cm and neck circumference of approx. 27–28cm for size XS, a chest circumference of approx. 40–42cm and neck circumference of approx. 31–32.5cm for size S, and a chest circumference of approx. 46–49cm and neck circumference of approx. 38–40.5cm for size M. Only feed the harness over the lead manually. The product may not be used when the dog is tethered.

Safety notes

Risk of injury!

Only use the device for its intended purpose.
Keep the packaging and the product away from children.
Check the product for damage or wear before each use. The product may only be used if in perfect condition.
Release the dog immediately if it becomes entangled in the product.
Please note that even smaller dogs can be quite strong. Children and older persons may not be able to control them.
It is your responsibility to keep the dog under control at all times.
Think in advance about how your dog may react in critical situations.
You should bring your dog to your side BEFORE a possi-ble risk situation. Pay particular attention to other people and to your animal when on pavements or when crossing cycle paths.
The dog should be led at heel with a strong grip on the lead and the harness if other persons or animals are close by.
Dogs represent a hazard to wild animals, particularly during the breeding season. Each dog reacts differently. Act in a responsible manner and ensure that nobody is endangered or hindered.
Let the lead hang loose if the dog should move backwards and try to pull itself out of the harness.
It can be uncomfortable for the dog if the product is too tight.

Use

Determining the correct size (Fig. A)

The correct choice of size is important for the safe and com-fortable use of the product.

Determine the correct size as follows:

For sizes S and M the product must sit four finger widths behind the front legs, for size XS two finger widths.
The size is correct if the dog can move freely with its front legs.
Note: If the product is too large then there is a risk that the dog will step out of the product with its front legs.

Buckling the item correctly (Fig. B)

Open the hook and loop fastener and the buckle fastener on the product.
Place the product over your dog’s front paws.
Then close the hook and loop fastener, followed by the buckle fastener.
Note: make sure that two fingers fit between the product and the dog’s back.
Fasten the lead (not included in the package contents) two both D-rings.

Storage, cleaning

The product must regularly be cleaned mechanically for reasons of functionality. When not in use, always store the product clean and dry at room temperature. If the product is slightly dirty, clean it with water and wipe dry afterwards with a cloth.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.
The product can be washed by hand.

The product must be disinfected if the animal is or has been ill. You should consult a veterinarian you trust and ask for a suitable cleaner and disinfectant.

Disposal

Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accord-ance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Dispose of the products and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
The recycling code is used to identify various materials for recycling. The code consists of the recycling symbol – which is meant to reflect the recycling cycle – and a number which identifies the material.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling

The product was produced with great care and under con-tinuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three- year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass. Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances. Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guaran-tee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. If you wish to make a claim please first contact the service hotline mentioned below or contact us by e-mail. If there is a guarantee case, then the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge to you or the purchase price will be refunded, depending on our choice. Your legal rights, in particular guarantee claims against the respective seller, are not limited by this guarantee.
