  • Check the cutting unit 1 and paw trimmer unit 15 for proper function before using the product. Never use the product with a damaged or broken comb attachment 9.
  • The absence of teeth on the comb attachments 9 can lead to injury. Switch the product off before you put it down.
  • The product is intended for cutting and trimming of animal fur and for household use only.

Avoid the risk of fatal injury from electric shock

  • Do not use this product near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water.
  • If the product falls into the water, immediately remove the plug-in mains adapter
  • 8 from the mains socket before you reach into the water.
  • Never touch the plug-in mains adapter 8 with moist or wet hands, especially when you plug it into the socket or pull it out of the socket.
  • Never submerge the product or the supply cord with the plug-in mains adapter 8 in water or any other liquid and never rinse this / these under running water.
  • Cutting unit 1 and paw trimmer unit 15 may become hot after prolonged use. Do not use the product while the animal is being bathed or when the fur is wet.
  • For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the
  • bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
  • Only use the original plug-in mains adapter 8 supplied for mains operation.
  • Remove the plug-in mains adapter 8 from the socket – if a malfunction occurs,
  •  before you clean the product,
  •  if you have not used the product for a long time,
  •  during a thunderstorm and
  •  after each use. When doing so, remove the plug-in mains adapter 8 directly from the socket and do not pull it out using the supply cord.

Avoid the risk of injury

Do not change the accessories while the product is switched on. Do not use the product if you detect any kind of visible, external damage. Never use a damaged product.
If liquid gets into the product, check before using the product once more.

  • If you notice that the supply cord, plug-in mains adapter 8, housing or another part has become damaged, the product can no longer be used.
  • Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user. This will also make any warranty claims void. Do not use defective attachments with the product as these could have sharp corners.
  • Defective components must always be replaced with original spare parts. Only by using original spare parts can you ensure that safety requirements are met.
  • Connect the plug-in mains adapter 8 to an outlet that is well within reach.
  • Never use the product unsupervised and only use it in accordance with the information stated on the type plate.
  • Connect the supply cord to the product before inserting the plug-in mains adapter 8 into the socket. The tips of the attachments are sharp.
  • Switch off the product before attaching or switching the attachments, as well as before cleaning.
  • Lay the supply cord so nobody will step on or trip over it.
  • Do not use the product if you have an open wound, cut, sunburn or blister.

Avoid the danger of damage to property

  • Electrical products may pose a hazard to animals. Animals can also damage the product. Always keep animals away from electrical products when it is not in use.
  • Protect the product from moisture, drops of water, and splashing water.
  • Ensure that the supply cord does not get stuck in cupboard doors and that it is not pulled over hot surfaces. This could damage the supply cord‘s insulation.
  • Use the original accessories only. Do not place the product on hot surfaces, near hot surfaces or near an open fire.
  • To prevent impermissible heating do not cover the plug-in mains adapter 8 and the product during use and charging.
  • Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Keep the blade oil 12 out of reach of children. Do not ingest the blade oil 12 , do not get it into your eyes. Keep it in a safe place if it is not being used.

Safety instructions for batteries/ rechargeable batteries

  • DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
  • DANGER OF EXPLO-SION! Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
  • Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water. Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries. The connection terminals must not be short-circuited.

Risk of batteries/rechargeable batteries leakage

Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs. This product has a built-in rechargeable battery that cannot be replaced by the user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

ATTENTION! RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE!

Do not expose the product to direct sunshine or heat. The ideal ambient temperature is between 5 and 40 °C. Extreme low or high temperatures may damage the battery or the product.
No action is needed from users to shift the product between 50 and 60 Hz. The product adapts itself for both 50 and 60 Hz.

Before use

  • Remove all parts from the package.
  • Oiling the blades (see Fig. D + E)
  • It is recommended that you oil the blades of the cutting unit 1 and the paw trimmer unit 15 before first use and after cleaning to guarantee complete functionality.
  • Apply one or two drops of blade oil 12 between the blades and distribute them evenly.
  • Wipe away any excess oil using a cloth.
  • You can also use any acid-free oil such as sewing machine oil.
  • Charging (see Fig. C)
  • Note: Before first use, the rechargeable battery in the product should be charged for approx. 90 minutes. A charging time of 90 minutes is also required subsequently. The charging process and the battery level are shown on the charging display 6 and the battery-status display 5.

To avoid injuries and damage to the product, always switch the product off by sliding the ON/OFF switch 4 to the position with the marking “0” is shown before charging the battery.
Insert the cable plug of the plug-in mains adapter
8 into the socket on the lower part of the product 7.
Insert the plug-in mains adapter 8 into a socket that meets the product requirements. Disconnect the product from the plug-in mains adapter 8 when the battery-status display 5 shows the red plug icon turns off and the green battery symbol turns on (i.e. approx. 100 % battery level).

Note: Do not leave the product permanently connected to the plug-in mains adapter 8 to avoid damage to the battery or the product. N ote: You can use the product for up to approx. 60 minutes with a full battery.

Operation

  • Changing the comb attachments on the cutting unit (see Fig. F + G)
  • Carefully place the desired comb attachment 9 onto the product as depicted in Fig. F. Ensure that both recesses of the comb attachment 9 properly engage into the lateral detents at both sides above the cutting unit 1.
  • To remove the comb attachment 9, press and slide it forward and upwards using both thumbs. CAUTION! It is normal that the product will become hot during use. Occasionally turn off the
  • product while using and check to see if the product has possibly gotten too hot for your pet. If so, switch off the product to cool it down.
  • Setting the trim length
  • To set different trim lengths, hold the upper part of product 2 and twist the length position indicator 3 into the desired position (0.8–2.0 mm). The set trim length will be displayed on the length
  • position indicator 3 which aligns with the dot-marking on the upper part of product 2.
  • No te: Only cutting unit 1 can provide adjustments on the trim length. The paw trimmer unit 15 cannot.
  • Trimming fur Begin by using the longer comb attachment 9 and trim the fur gradually to the desired length. It is suggested to first trim a small area so as to test the individual comb attachments 9 .
  • Avoid making sudden movements when trimming.
  • Switch the product on by sliding the ON/OFF switch 4 to the position with the marking “I” is shown.
  • Guide the product slowly and steadily through the fur. If possible, trim against the direction of the fur‘s growth.
  • While doing so, hold the product in such a way that the selected comb attachment 9 is positioned as level as possible.
  • Comb the fur repeatedly.
  • You can adjust the desired trim length of the comb attachment 9 more accurately by rotating the length position indicator 3 . These gradations differ by 0.3 mm.

  • Place the paw trimmer unit 15 to the product until both recesses of the paw trimmer unit 15 engage into the product (see Fig. H + I). Switch on the product by sliding the ON/OFF
  • 4 switch to the position with the marking “I” is shown.
  • Guide the blade of the paw trimmer unit 15 the paw area.

Cleaning and care

CAUTION! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Pull the plug-in mains adapter 8 out of the mains socket before cleaning the product. Never touch the plug-in mains adapter 8 with moist or wet hands, especially when you plug it into the socket or pull it out of the socket. Always keep the plug-in mains adapter 8 and supply cord dry.  RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE! Do not submerge the product in water or any other liquid to clean it as the product is not waterproof. This could damage the live parts (rechargeable batteries).

  • Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Clean the housing using a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
  • Switch the product off by sliding the ON/OFF switch 4 to the position with the marking “0” is shown.
  • Disconnect the supply cord from the product and dry them.
  • Remove any remaining bits of fur from cutting unit 1 using the cleaning brush 11 provided (see Fig. J).
  • Apply one or two drops of blade oil 12 between the blades and the moving parts (see Fig. D + E).

Storage

Place the product in the travel pouch provided.

Troubleshooting

Error Cause Solution

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

  • Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fiber-board/80–98: composite materials.
  • The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
  • Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
  • To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
  • Faulty or used batteries rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to haz- ardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

  • The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects, you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
  • The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.
  • Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, used, or maintained improperly.
  • The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries, or glass parts.
