PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE

This system is equipped with non-skid rubber ‘feet’ to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls. These ‘feet’ are made from non- migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your furniture. However certain types of oil-based furniture polishes, wood preservatives, or cleaning sprays may cause the rubber ‘feet’ to soften, and leave marks or a rubber residue on the furniture.

To prevent any damage to your furniture we strongly recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive felt pads, available at hardware stores and home improvement centers everywhere, and apply these pads to the bottom of the rubber ‘feet’ before you place the product on fine wooden furniture.

DEAR JENSEN® CUSTOMER
Selecting fine audio equipment such as the unit you’ve just purchased is only the start of your musical enjoyment. Now it’s time to consider how you can maximize the fun and excitement your equipment offers. This manufacturer and t h e Electronic Industries Association’s Consumer Electronics Group want you to get the most out of your equipment by playing it at a safe level. One that lets the sound come through loud and clear without annoying blaring or distortion and, most importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing. Sound can be deceiving. Over time your hearing “comfort level” adapts to higher volumes of sound. So what sounds “normal” can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts.

To establish a safe level

  • Start your volume control at a low setting.
  • Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, and without distortion.
  • Once you have established a comfortable sound level: Set the dial and leave it there.

Taking a minute to do this now will help to prevent hearing damage or loss in the future. After all, we want you to listen for a lifetime.

We Want You Listening For a Lifetime
Used wisely, your new sound equipment will provide a lifetime of fun and enjoyment. Since hearing damage from loud noise is often undetectable until it is too late, this manufacturer and the Electronic
Industries Association’s Consumer Electronics Group recommends you avoid prolonged exposure to excessive noise.

Troubleshooting

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t understand ‘Bluetooth’. Do all CDs, tapes, et al have to be Bluetooth compatible?

The source of the sound such as a CD or a tape has nothing to do with Bluetooth and therefore does Need not be Compatible. Look at it this way. Normally if you wish to connect a headphone or a speaker to some device it must have a headphone jack or a place for speakers and then there would be a wire connecting the. Think of Bluetooth as an invisible wire connecting let’s say a CD player to a headphone. Yes, there is a connection but it’s invisible. The source, the music must be able to transmit Bluetooth and the headphones or speakers must be able to receive Bluetooth. So the headphones or the speaker must be Bluetooth Compatible and the tape plat or CD player needs to also be Bluetooth compatible. The CDs or the tapes themselves… do not require any compatibility.

How tall, wide, and deep is the system?

The stereo is 12” wide- 16″ high and depth is 14″. The speakers are separate and they are 7″ wide and 14″ high. Hope this helps.

What is the size of the unit?

main unit is 14″ deep, 18″ tall and 12 ” across. Each of the two speakers are 14″ tall, 8″ deep and 8″ across. Hope this helps.

Need to connect my own speakers; 4 of them. they’re small & wired throughout my basement. can i connect 4 sets of speaker wires? what about volume?

Yes, the Jensen can accept extra speakers, I added 2 of my own. One of the benefits of the system is the this ability.

can I attach different speakers to this?

The wires are permanent but you can splice them with electrical tape. I had to do this because the wires were too short.

When I put it in cd mode and pushed the button to open the door it reads door error.

I believe “Door Error” means something wrong with the CD tray mechanism. Just return it & order another one. I experienced the same problem.

Do the speakers plug into unit with jack type attachment or do you slip speaker wire into locking mechanism?

They just lock in an ols way.

Can you pair Bluetooth headphones to these?

My daughter pairs her beats to this stereo.

Does anyone have issues opening the CD tray and cassette racks? They don’t open on mine when the buttons are pushed. The radio works and the power is on.

Mine didn’t work out of the box. Got a ‘door error’. Promptly returned

Can I connect my Panasonic speakers to it? They are the 4 individual wire types connected, not the jack type.

I bought some cheap $10 blue tooth speakers and connected them, they sound great!! Without them, the system sounds bad. Get some inexpensive blue tooth speakers it will work wonders. Edward.

Will this player record from lp to cd and cassette to cd?

Only a cassette is designed to do the recording. CD doesn’t.

do the speakers detach from the main unit and what are the speaker dimensions height, width and depth?

The height is 14 1/2″, Width is 8″ and the depth is 7″. I attached mine to the main unit so I suppose they would detach.
