GENERAL ADVISE

  • This appliance is destined only to the heating of internal domestic or similar environments and in compliance with these instructions. It can be considered only a supplementary source of heating and not as a central heating element.
    This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

    • staff kitchen in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farm houses
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
    • bed and breakfast type environments
  • The appliance must not be used in dusty environments or in the presence of extremely volatile materials which could obstruct grids or heat exchanger, nor in very damp environments, in the presence of inflammable products, or out of doors in the open. Any other use is to be considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for eventual damage caused by inappropriate, improper or irresponsible use and/or for repairs made to the product by unauthorised personnel.

  • The appliance gets hot when working; so only touch the handle and plastic Knobs. Avoid contact with the heating element.

  • Attach and use the device only with the components supplied, not to compromise the safety of use. Periodically check the good condition of the appliance and components (glass, wall bracket, etc..): When in doubt, consult an authorized service center and ensure that the parts supplied are original.

  • Ensure that the appliance does not come into contact with water or other liquids. If this should happen, never immerse hands in the liquid but remove the plug from the socket first of all. Dry the appliance carefully and check that all the electric parts are dry. If in doubt, call a qualified expert.

  • If the appliance should fall over or shows signs of faulty operation, disconnect the electrical cable immediately. Check that no part is damaged and switch it on after the appliance has been thoroughly checked: in case of doubt, contact qualified professional personnel.

  • Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fire, electric shocks and physical injury.

  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  • CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • WARNING: this heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by person not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

  • Caution: During operation any glare and / or bright reflections are normal due to the effect flame.

  • The protection system (front grid) of this heating device has been designed to prevent direct access to the heating elements and must be maintained in its position during use of the apparatus heating. The protection system does not guarantee full protection to children and the infirm.

  • Do not move the appliance when it is in function.

  • Do not use the appliance if it is not operating correctly or seems damaged; if in doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.

  • Do not use this heater in the immediate surrounding of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

  • Unplug the appliance when not in use.

  • The fireguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in use, but the fireguard does not give full protection for young children and for infirm person.

  • That the user must not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the supply.

  • Do not touch the heater with wet hands or feet.

  • Never use the radiator to dry damp garments.

  • Do not expose the heater to the weather (sun, rain, etc.).

  • Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance to unplug the appliance from the wall socket. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord.

  • If the electric cord is damaged, it has to be replaced by the supplier or an authorized service center or a professionally qualified, to avoid any risks.

  • The appliance must not be positioned immediately under a socket.

  • Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fire, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly. Check that no other high absorption appliances are connected to the same power source.

  • Do not use this heater the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

  • The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

INSTALLATION

  • After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the heater; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger.
  • All packaging elements must be disposed of according to their raw material (see the symbol stamped on each one) and according to the provisions of their municipality. The bag containing the set with brackets and fixing screws or the remote control, which is unmarked due to its small size, is made of polyethylene; therefore you have to follow the procedures for the disposal of this type of plastic.
  • Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate matches that of your electricity and that the electric plug is grounded. In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the heater, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the heater (10A). In general, the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum of the heater.
  • Before each use, verify that the heater is in good condition and that the electrical cord is not damaged: in the case of doubt, ask for professionally qualified help.
  • Don’t hang it on the wall.
  • Make sure that the cable is correctly positioned and that it is not in contact with hot parts or sharp edges, nor wrapped around the device or twisted.
  • The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency.
  • Position the fan heater far from other sources of heat, inflammable materials (curtains, carpets, etc.), inflammable gases or explosive materials (spray cans) and from materials that can deform on exposure to heat. Make sure that there is 120 cm of free space in front of the fan heater and 150 cm on the sides.
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. (to avoid drops of water falling on the heater or the heater falling in the water), or in places where it could be subject to shocks.
  • The support surface must be stable (exclude shelf) and not sloping (since the heater could tip over).
  • Make sure that the air-intake grids and heating element are not obstructed by objects, fabrics or anything else to avoid the heater overheating or breaking.
  • In the case of a breakdown or fault, switch off the appliance and have it checked by a professionally qualified technician; repairs made by unqualified persons can be dangerous and render void the warranty.

OPERATION

Before each use, verify that the unit is in good condition, the electric cord is not damaged, if the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a competent qualified electrician or a person with similar qualifications, in order to avoid any risk.
ATTENTION: The heater should not be used if the glass or other parts are damaged.
For the use of a chimney, operates in the following way:

  1.  Insert the plug into the socket.
  2. Open the drawer.
  3. Flame Effect is operated by pressing light switch (3), pos.I the function is running. Flame light intensity is adjusted by turning the knob    (2); will be greater as the knob is rotated to  the pos. maximum (clockwise). The fan heater is active only if the switch is in position “I” and the knob is turned to the maximum position.
  4. To operate the fan only, press ” “. (3) and adjust the Knob (1).
  5. To operate the heater, press the switches (4) in pos. “I” and (5) in pos. “I I”. For get warm air 900W press (4) switch, and for get hot air 1800W press both switches (4) and (5). Thermostat knob: regulates the appliance based on the surrounding ambient temperature: it heats continuously until the set temperature is reached, and then it heats only when the temperature decreases and for the period of time needed to bring it back up to the set temperature.
  6. Use the respective knob: if turned fully in an anticlockwise direction, the fan heater stays off, if fully turned clockwise it is set to the maximum temperature; the heater runs at intervals when set to the settings in between.
  7. To completely switch off the appliance, press all the switches on side opposed to in pos. “I” and “I I” and remove the plug from the socket.

This device has a device against overheating: If the temperature exceeds a certain value, automatically stops the operation. Turn off appliance, remove the plug from the wall outlet, make sure the air outlet grille and the heating element are free of dust, lint, or whatever. Let the device cool (about 15 minutes). Insert the plug into the outlet, turn on the switch, select the features you want, will not boot or in case of doubt, consult a qualified professional.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention: before cleaning the fan heater, turn it off, remove the plug from the outlet and wait for it to cool.

  • Periodically check that the air-intake grill is not obstructed by fuzz or threads.
  • Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the body and glass; do not use metal scouring pads or abrasive products.
  • For long periods of inactivity, you must cover it and place it in a dry place; it is advisable to put it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and humidity.
  • A special tool is required to replace the lamp to flame effect: contact an authorized service center, also for any repairs.
  • If you decide not to use the fan heater, we recommend that you make it inoperative by cutting the power cord (but first make sure you have removed the plug from the electrical outlet), and make those parts harmless that are dangerous when played with by children.
  • Do not be covered under warranty all parts that may be defective for failure to follow the installation instructions, or use, or maintenance, for damages caused by shipment. Also included the replacement or repair of all parts subject to normal consumption (lamps), and also the removable parts (glass), and accessories for construction (strains in resin).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EC.

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
