Mode operation – Product information – Warning
Operation
– The GALAXY-1000 has two modes of operation: High power (100%), low power
(50%)
– Press once on the black switch situated above the reflector for the low
power.
– Press again to activate the high power.
– Press a third time to switch off the light.
NOTE; THE PRODUCT MUST NOT BE USED WHILE IT IS ON CHARGE. TO BE USED ONLY FROM BATTERY.
Battery charging
– Slide the charging socket cover. This will reveal the INPUT socket.
– Connect the DC socket end of cable into the socket and connect the USB end
into a standard USB power supply (5V-2A charger).
– The charging indicator LED located near the input socket will glow red while
charging. The LED will turn green when charging is complete.
Warning
– Do not expose the battery to excessive heat, to do so may cause an
explosion.
– Do not use metal objects to short circuit the positive and negative end of
the battery.
– Do not dispose of the battery in the domestic waste, please use the correct
method of disposal. – Do not solder directly on to the battery.
– Do not let the battery become wet or immerse the battery in water.
– Keep the battery away from children.
– The operating temperature range of the light’s battery: Charging: 0°C to
30°C / Discharging: 0°C to 30°C
General
– Do not use any chargers other than those recommended in this Instruction
manual. Failure to do so could cause fire, electrical shock or personal
injury.
– Never use a damaged charger or charger with damaged lead. Should the charger
or its lead become damaged, replace the charger immediately.
– Do not shine the light directly into people’s eyes, as it may damage their
eyesight.
– Do not cover the product while in use.
– When the charger is not in use, please disconnect it from power supply.
– Do not leave the battery on charge for more than one week as this will
shorten the battery life. Battery leakage may occur if the battery is over
charged.
– Always make sure the light system is disconnected from any power sources and
turned off when performing any routine cleaning or maintenance.
– Do not try to repair the unit or charger yourself. In case of any problems
or questions please contact NightSearcher Limited or an authorised
distributor.
Safe disposal of waste electrical products and batteries.
If at any time, you need to dispose of this product or parts of this product: please note that waste electrical products and batteries should not be disposed of with ordinary household waste. Recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice. Alternatively, Night Searcher is happy to take receipt of this product at end-of-life and will recycle it on your behalf.
Warranty Terms – Standard 3 years
All NightSearcher products have a 3-year standard warranty on all manufacturing defects and 1-year warranty on all rechargeable batteries from the date of purchase.
Extended Warranty: You have the option to extend the warranty of the
product to 5 years for manufacturing defects. Registration of the product must
be made within one month of purchase by sending us an email
sales@nightsearcher.co.uk. In the message please
state in your own words that you would like to register your NightSearcher
product for the extended warranty.
