DENON AVR-X1700H Integrated Network AV Receiver
Welcome
We thank you for having chose a Denon AV receiver. This manual will explain all the necessary steps to the configuration of your AV receiver.
Before you start Items required for configuration
Optional
- To connect this unit to a device compatible with Deep Color, 4K, ARC and eARC, use a “High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet” which bears the HDMI logo.
- To connect this unit to a device compatible with 8K and 4K 120Hz video, use a certified “Ultra High Speed HDMI cable”. If you use another HDMI cable, the video may not be displayed or other problems may occur.
- Please note that illustrations in this manual are for explanatory purposes and may be different from your device.
Box contents
The supplied sound calibration microphone stand is convenient to use when performing speaker calibration. Use your own tripod or stand provided sound calibration microphone allows settings to be configured automatically to an optimal listening environment, which provides performance exceptionally high.
Setting
The setting process has four steps.
- Installing batteries in the remote
- Receiver connection
- Follow the setup wizard at the screen
- Downloading apps mobiles
Installing batteries in the remote control
Receiver connection
- Place the receiver towards your TV and plug in the cord feeding
- Connect the receiver to your home network
Wired LAN
Connect an Ethernet cable (not supplied) between the receiver and the network router.
Wireless LAN
Rotate the two antennas on the back of the receiver up to get performance maximum.
Connect the receiver to your TV using an HDMI cable
ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC support
(Enhanced Audio Return Channel):
If your TV supports ARC, it may return audio to the AV receiver when using the
built-in video sources of the television (TV tuner, Smart TV streaming
services, etc.). ARC requires you to enable HDMI CEC on the TV.
Please refer to the TV user manual for the HDMI CEC setup instructions. Also,
if your TV supports support eARC, it can also return bitrate audio formats
high bit rate such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and
DTS:X. Please refer to the instruction manual of the TV for more information
on activating the eARC function.
Turn on your TV
Choose the correct HDMI input on your TV
Switch on the receiver
Press X to turn on the receiver. tension.
Check the connection
Verify that you can see this screen on your TV.
If this screen does not appear, please come back back and repeat the steps in the recommended sequence.
Follow the on-screen setup wizard
- The TV is now connected to the receiver.
- The setup wizard will help you connect your speakers and the various components to your Denon receiver and configure them. Please use the remote control and follow the on-screen instructions.
Downloading mobile apps
Download both “HEOS” and “Denon 2016 AVR Remote” apps to enjoy the full experience of Home Entertainment. The HEOS app is required to access online music through of your AVR.
The HEOS app lets you explore, browse and read music from services broadcast
online or from your own music library.
Control your new AVR with the latest Denon app 2016 AVR Remote. volume
control, the selection of the audio mode and the advanced settings are
accessible fingertip.
