Before You Start

This document provides instructions for setting up the Denon Home Subwoofer, a wireless subwoofer designed to enhance your home audio experience.

Make sure you have the following items ready:

  • Wi-Fi Router and Internet Connection
  • Apple iOS, Android, or Kindle Mobile Device connected to your network
  • Other Denon Home speakers and soundbars

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Unboxing
Remove the subwoofer and power cable from the packaging.

Step 2: Placement
Place the Denon Home Subwoofer in a convenient location in the same room as the other Denon Home speaker you wish to group with the subwoofer.

Step 3: Connection
Connect the power cable to the Denon Home Subwoofer and plug it into a wall outlet.

Optional: If connecting the subwoofer to a wired network, use an Ethernet cable (not included) between the subwoofer and the router. Do not connect the Ethernet cable if connecting the subwoofer to a wireless network.

Step 4: Setup

  1. Download the HEOS App.
  2. Access the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Amazon App Store to search for and download the HEOS app.
  3. Launch the HEOS app and follow the instructions to add the Denon Home Subwoofer to your network and group it with the desired Denon Home speaker.

Step 5: Adding Speaker

  1. Go to Home Settings.
  2. Select Add Device.

Basic Troubleshooting

If your subwoofer does not connect to the network:

  • Ensure that the mobile device in use is connected to the wireless network before configuring the subwoofer.
  • If your wireless network supports the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) standard, you can connect the subwoofer using the Push Button method, following the steps provided.

How do I troubleshoot basic issues with my Denon Home Subwoofer?
To connect the subwoofer to your network using the Push Button method:

  1. Press the WPS button on the router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the CONNECT button on the rear panel of the subwoofer for 5 seconds.
  3. The LED indicator on the front of the subwoofer will flash green for several seconds as it connects.
  4. If you need to reconnect, select Settings > Add Device in the HEOS app.
